I've heard the Aserej song before and I wouldn't have gone out of my way to listen to it, so it must have had some modicum of popularity in its day.

The only reason I'm familiar with the Dragostea song is because of that Numa Numa guy.

Guys they were played everywhere in Europe, the americans probably don't know (and hate??) those songs as much as we do.

I searched on Wikipedia the best chart position of Asereje and for every European state reported it reached the first position. On USA it reached only the 54th position. I think I'll never forget the chorus of that song, for all my life.

Yeah, I remember both those songs very well too. They were chart topping hits over here. The Asereje-song also had some dance mopves associated with it. I can remember everybody doing those dances in elementary school.
