First, "Escape" is damn near a perfect album, so there's that.

I love that song "Only The Young".  Steve Perry sings his tits off on that one.  What a chorus!!!

"Still They Ride" and "Ask The Lonely" for the win as well.

Lots of great tracks, but I went with:

Wheel in the Sky
Separate Ways
Any Way You Want It
Stone in Love
Send Her My Love
Only the Young

That said, there's several others that I would've also included on that list:
Mother, Father (love that DT covered this)
The Eyes of a Woman
Into Your Arms (reminds me of Joe Satriani)
Message of Love
Colors of the Spirit
Can't Tame the Lion
Trial by Fire
Live and Breathe

Yup - I think Trial by Fire is a great album. Such a shame that a supporting tour for it never happened and that the album has largely been forgotten about by the band.
As a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.

Journey, I Love Perry's voice! And also I think that their first two records are brilliant, so different from what Journey become when Steve joined. But, I've picked Don't Stop Believing, Separate Ways, Faithfully, Open Arms, Lights and Send Her My Love

I burned out on Journey in high school, which is a little weird since I never owned anything of theirs. But between the radio play and my friend's copy of Time3 which I think I had in my possession more than they did, I lost interest in listening to them. They even became a channel-changer whenever they came up on the radio.

I am very heavy into the deep cuts over the hits. But there’s one obvious guilty pleasure on my list.

Just the Same Way
Stone in Love
Anytime
Feeling That Way
Only the Young
Girl Can’t Help It

Maybe it’s not so obvious. But Girl Can’t Help It  is the one I kind of feel bad about including. Normally, I’m not a fan of anything from RoR, but for some reason I love it.

I did like the two big hits from Raised on Radio, especially the live versions in the videos that MTV played a lot.

would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

so many good songs omitted from the list, but it's to be expected with the abundance of choices.

love seeing "Still They Ride" as write-ins, love that song.

hell, even the newer Journey albums have some great cuts on them.

Separate Ways (World Apart)
Don't Stop Believin'
Any Way You Want It

That actually wasn't that hard imo. I only really actually like three Journey songs, I'm not a huge fan of their stuff honestly. And then there's Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin', which is almost painful to listen to.

I went with:

Don't Stop Believin'
Wheel in the Sky
Separate Ways
Any Way You Want It
Stone in Love (I really dig Ross Valory's bass tone on this song)
Send Her My Love

Almost picked City of the Angels and would've picked Mother Father if it had been an option.

Wheel in the Sky
Separate Ways
Stone in Love
Feeling that Way
Anytime
Send her my Love

If your old enough the first song most of heard from Journey was Wheel in the Sky when Infinity was released. What a great introduction to this "new" band with this awesome singer.  Man, and Separate Ways, what a powerful song. Great songs.

As T-Ski said, Resonate is an awesome song!  All the Post Perry albums have a lot of good stuff on them. Another good song on the Arrival album is Lifetime Of Dreams, great Journey ballad!
As far as Escape, yes that is a excellent album. The song "Mother Father Sister Brother" is probably my favorite track.

Duly noted, fellas.

I am slightly dismayed that Send Her My Love only has 11 votes.  The last 1:15 or so of that song is so freaking awesome.

When you're a 50 year old man, that's not the worst thing in the world...

I do have a question though:   I saw a press release that had quotes from Neal Schon, Joe Elliott and Jonathan Cain... is Cain back in the fold?  He and Neal had a falling out and I thought Jonathan left the band (or Neal threatened to leave and was starting a project called "JRNY" or some such shit).   What's the dilly?   Anyone know?

They resolved their differences and are moving on from that. Cain is still in the band and Journey and Def Leppard are touring together this summer..

That works for me.   I'd go see a "Journey with a different singer".  I don't know that I'd go see "Neal Schon plays Journey with a bunch of guys that look like they want to be in Stereo Satellite".

This seems odd in retrospect given how big a fan I've been since Escape, but I've only ever seen Journey with a different singer.  I never caught them with Perry.  The shows with Agueri were REALLY good.  Coincidentally, the last time I saw them was when they were touring with Def Lep and had Jeff Scott Soto on vocals.

I am slightly dismayed that Send Her My Love only has 11 votes.  The last 1:15 or so of that song is so freaking awesome.

Fantastic song.  For me, it just missed the cut on the voting.  But that isn't to take anything away from that song at all.  It's just that there are so many great songs, it got edged out.

Based on what I've read they haven't resolved anything. Neal still feels like the outcast in the band and they are just playing together at this point. Wouldn't surprise me if management convinced him to stick around for one more tour and then I bet Neal bolts.

If he does, I'm just not interested.  He started the band.  Perry brought something unique when he joined, both in terms of his voice, AND the writing and creative direction of the band.  Cain also brings a lot to the table on the writing and creative direction side.  But Schon is still THE main piece.  I don't want to see a version of Journey without him in it.  (but then again, it's not like I actively follow them anymore anyway)

Sadly It seems the mood within the band is still far from good.
From: wwww.ultimateclassicrock.com/journey-neal-schon-jonathan-cain-dispute-2/
"We've had some hard times," he admits, "mainly because I think everybody is just going in different directions, away from everything we had done for many, many years. So, it was hard for me to understand. But the bottom line is, I respect all of the work that we've done together as a band – and I respect our fans. I love our fans. So, it doesn't really matter if we don't see eye to eye any longer. When we get onstage, it's about the music, and it's about the fans."
I still follow Journey very closely and I would love to hear new music from them (I like Eclipse a lot!), but it's hard to see that happening, with the personal relationships in the band like they are today.

I’m not a huge Journey fan, their albums were half killer half awful generally. Their greatest hits is as good as anyone’s though. Anyway You Want It is my favourite song by them and I’m too lazy to copy what I voted for so suffice to say, the hits.

My favourite Journey album is Arrival though.
