I posted this on a different forum but it should be here.

I don’t know if there’s a thread about this band but they just announced they’re releasing their first album 08.08.2018

*****ALBUM RELEASE DATE:  08.08.2018

Hello everyone.
It’s been a very productive year, even though I haven’t posted anything about the project and I apologize for that, but lots of good things and great collaborations are happening. The project is growing step by step and I am very happy to promise and announce that the full length album will be released on 08.08.2018.
I will have some mind blowing updates very soon.
Meanwhile, I wish everyone a very Happy and Successful New Year. May the new 2018 be the year of health, joy and happiness for everyone !

Sincerely,
Hovak Alaverdyan*****

Can't wait to hear more music from them. Really loved the single they released, specially since Victor Wooten has always been one of my favorite bassits.
It sounds like, "ruk, ruk, ruk, ruk, ruk." Instead of the more pleasing kick drum sound of, "gzarruk, gzarruk, gzarruk, gzarruk."

I’m not a fan of Sheehan at all, but I’m still excited for this album. Bring it on! :metal

It's been over two and a half years since they posted their "Three Lives" music video... I'm beginning to think this is NEVER going to get released (like Tomas Bodin's Crime Of The Century project, or PULSE with Downes/D'Virgilio/Holmes/Levin). Folks always start projects and get big names to play on them, but then they never come out and it saddens me because when they do release any previews to them, they're always so good, but they take YEARS to say anything else about them.

Hopefully this WILL come out this year, especially since the description in [urlhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_z-ZrQPfY5o]this video[/url] (from September 2016) says it's "from their upcoming album."

Interesting that they got JSS to sing, I wonder if Sheehan brought him up as a suggestion or if it's just pure coincidence that this band now has 2/5ths of SOA in it... hmmmm. :lol

Ugghh, I hope it is not SOA singing style.
You can see a clip of him singing in the Facebook post. It's not bad, but I haven't heard SOA in awhile so I can't really compare.

First Sheehan and now JSS? Interest lost :tdwn

This is not a dig at SOA, btw, I’ve NEVER liked Billy’s playing and tone, and Jeff’s singing style isn’t my cup of tea. I wonder why they’re asked to guest in prog projects, as they’re not prog musicians (even jeff said that about himself lol).

So far I liked the clip with JSS. Definitely more interesting that what he did in SOA.

I didn't watch it at first, now I did,it sounds a bit as SOA singing style (that's to be expected I think due that it is the same singer). Looking forward for the rest

It does but the melodies are far more interesting. SOA was very monotonous in the singing department. It will be interesting to hear the whole album once it's released.

Somehow I missed this:

Only problem with that video, I realized he will have JSS in vocals, HOPEFULLY they are not like in SOA.

New song and album really soon:

Can't believe it's been 4 years since this was first announced. I honestly thought the album wasn't even going to be released, glad it's finally finished and ready for release.

Not too excited about JSS or Billy being involved, but it looks like the music is very different from the standard prog metal fare, so I'm in. Having Victor Wooten involved, though, is one of the best things this guy could have done :metal

New song video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2gmrpzaDHg

JSS ruined the song for me

I don't know why they keep calling him (and Billy) for prog metal stuff, that's not their forte.

I like JSS on this song to a degree. I think it would have sounded better if he wasn't singing so gritty, plus the vocals sounded too high in the mix.
I love him in SOA though!

Why release an album 2 days before the year ends? This won't make ANYONE list, and hence anyone's list in 2021. Seems like a dumb move!

In any case I am liking what I hear.

I’m quoting a really old post, but I wouldn’t say Billy Sheehan is not a “prog musician.” Clearly he has the chops to play just about anything, but given the fact that he’s played on numerous prog albums/projects, I’d say he is a prog musician by definition. Check out Niacin as a good example of Billy’s prog/fusion side. He was involved in several other things released on Magna Carta back in the day as well (not all of them all that great).
