This was surprisingly easy for me to pick

Waiting for a Girl Like You
Faithfully
Keep on Loving You
More Than Words
Is This Love

Not necessarily in that order.

I actually just had a good listen to Angel the other day, and I have to say that Steven Tyler is immense on it.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Out of all of these, only Love Walks In. The song that made Eddie and Valerie cry. I also think it's one of Sammy's best lyrics

Whitesnake and Dokken the clear favs, then Journey, Foreigner and Def Leppard.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

Hmm... loved pretty much every single one of those when they were released. Definitely my pick for Kev's best selection of his "Your favorites..." threads. Can't say any of them appeal to me now, so going off of my feelings at the time:

Van Halen - Love Walks In
Motley Crue - Home Sweet Home
Poison - Every Rose Has Its Thorn
Aerosmith - Angel
Boston - Amanda

Love Bites, Home Sweet Home, Every Rose Has Its Thorn.
From a Mega Man Legends island jamming power metal to a Walrus listening to black metal, I like your story arc.

I could only vote for Love Walks In.

All the rest are a target rich environment for the "Alternate Lyrics" thread and thus have been ruined for me. Especially Amanda!  :lol

I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

The only one I DON'T like is "Alone Again".  Not a Dokken fan at all.  Never clicked with me.

I would've included Love Walks In if I hadn't missed it when I was going through the list.

Foreigner and Journey songs.

I'd rather stick a fork in my eye than listen to that Poison song again.

Voted REO Speedwagon, Van Halen, Journey, Styx and Extreme.

My favorite monster rock ballad, though, is Bon Jovi's I'll Be There For You. JBJ and Richie were great in that song.

Never been a fan of Whitesnake's Is This Love. In fact, as much as I love the band that plays on it, I'm on record as saying that album is severely overrated.

I am pleased to see Is This Love winning this.  Love that song, and the intro is especially awesome. Love the way that haunting guitar lead comes in after the keyboard fade-in.  That is one of the more awesome intros of the 80s.

It's not even their best "Monster Ballad"; that would be "Here I Go Again".

Eh, despite the first verse of the normal version, Here I Go Again rocks too much to be a monster ballad.

Also, I see 8 others have voted for Babe. While a big pile of cheese, it is a well written pile of swiss. :lol

Sister Christian
Alone Again (Without You)
More Than Words

Hate to Leave Boston off of the list but that song was WAY overplayed. Also, I much prefer Open Arms to Faithfully.

Wow - no Scorpions choices?!? I mean, I would've expected Still Loving You or Winds of Chain, altho my choice would be Send Me an Angel.
As a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.
