Morning friends, from Toronto, where everyone looks like Keifer Sutherland and carries either a man-bag or a backpack.  I've never seen so many BACKPACKS!

(I say all of this in fun; Toronto is one of my favorite cities in the world, and I have to say, it's probably the best collection of good looking people - men or women - I've ever seen, including LA.   Cities - especially northern ones - have a way of making people look beaten down, but not here.  At dinner last night there were four servers - one man and three women - in the area we sat.  The guy could play Superman in the movies (he actually looked a bit like Henry Cavill) and the three women were all model-capable.)

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Happy friday and good evening.  Awesome DT show last night in NYC and spent the day here as well.  Walked about 5 miles this afternoon through central park, although cold, it was a beautiful day.  Back in my hotel room pre-gaming for concert #2 this weekend.  HIM and CKY.  Never been a fan of CKY's music but was a huge fan of their videos back in the day (before they sort of merged and became Jackass on MTV) but it was CKY's videos that featured HIM's music that got me starting to like them.  If anyone hasn't seen CKY videos before, they are mostly prank videos mixed with skate footage.  They are pretty hilarious, but if anyone is interested:

96 Quite Bitter Beings was always a sick song, but was never able to really get into them, then again I haven't tried to in at least 10 years.  Was really excited though when I found out they were touring with HIM on the final HIM tour.  Felt right given CKY was a big reason why HIM got such huge exposure in the USA.

and the line was soooo long to get in, about a 30 minute wait.  Completely missed CKY and HIM came on early IMO.  Concert was packed, maybe more so than I've seen DT, 311, and Nightwish in the same venue.

Getting there. Fixed up some code/bugs today. I apparently did 7 hours of work on it yesterday but it felt like I got nothing actually done, I was having such a shit day. Hoping to have it finished in 2-3 weeks.
