Four day work week for me, then the GF and I took off Friday to go down the Philly for the day and see 311 and the Offspring at the Penns Landing Festival Pier that night.

I have a feeling these four days might be brutal at work though, my boss gave warning Friday night.

Should have said something; about three blocks from the pier is this excellent Irish gastropub called "For Pete's Sake". It was actually my local bar (I lived on that block around the corner) and I know the owner very well (his name is, go figure, Pete). GREAT burgers, believe it or not. The head bartender was actually on "Cooks vs. Cons" on the Food Network.

Out of all the years I’ve worked out in the gym all my injuries except one came from doing mundane tasks at home.

Howdy folks.

I took Friday off sick, and came back in Monday to find that all hell broke loose in my absence.

I've spent half my day playing damage control and straightening things out... but forgot that payroll is due today. So that's going to encompass the rest of my day. Yay!

That looks pretty cool, big GA ballroom. I'm jealous of my friends who saw them at a small club opening for System of a Down before either bands made it huge for the SnoCore tour. I've only seen Incubus in arenas or huge amphitheaters. That makes me want to go to Boston after Philly

Literally every Steel Panther video is NSFW. Very typical show for them.

I did that 4 years ago... reaching into my trunk to pull a cardboard sign out. My back said "no you don't! Ima gonna fuck you up for 6 weeks instead". Mrs.jingle said I walked like an 88 year old man with a broken disc. Just getting in and out of a car took a concerted effort, and don't even get me started on how hard it was to get out of bed. I'm sure I posted about it in the fogey thread when it happened.

That is going to be an awesome venue to see them in.

I saw them years ago in a tiny little place and it was amazing. One of the most high energy shows that I've been to.

Back in April, we were moving some shelves at work and I did something that my chest muscles thought I shouldn't have been doing. I felt fine and then all of sudden my chest started hurting out of nowhere. I thought I was dying, it hurt so bad. Doesn't help my allergies acted up at the same time so my neck and shoulders were hurting. What are heart attack symptoms? Neck, shoulder, chest pains. That was a rough few days

Now, a herniated disc in my low back and sciatica? So what you're telling me King is that it doesn't get better as I get older?

I had a sciatic nerve pinch as a senior in high school. The pills were huge. Like horse pills.

Was gaming on my computer while there's a crazy lightning storm going on and there's a huge bright flash of lightning and my monitor reset, just the monitor, nothing else and was then fine. A bit later another bright flash and the same thing happens to my brothers monitor (in the same room). I then went outside to see this and got this clip, near the end it like flashes the camera blindingly, I don't think I've seen lightning do this before. I actually had to step back when it happened it was kind of frightening

We had lightning like that the past couple of days. My gf is in Brooklyn for work right now and she said the lightning was intense.

I love it, it reminds me of home (florida)

That said I was pretty sure my onboard NIC was fried yesterday on my motherboard, lucky I got it up and running after a few BIOS resets.
