I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Hopefully sweet fuck all.  Slept in for the first Saturday since Labour Day - the market that jingle.son had been working at (starting at 6am) finished last week, so I didn't drag my ass up until the dogs started whining to be fed at 7am.

Chores, working out is all that's on tap.  Gotta help mrs.jingle with a few things before we go away on Thursday (as a womang, she's already stressing that there's not enough time to get things done before we leave :lolpalm:).  Hockey tonight (my team vs Joe's), and getting a few more things off the DVR.

Indeed. I was supposed to be in Brooklyn this afternoon because my homebrew club is doing a collaboration brew at a small brewery out there, but it's too damn cold. Currently huddled under a blanket and catching up on the DVR. I've got a bowl of beef stew and a can of Hill Farmstead George. Will switch over to some Tree House cans afterwards.
