and what a shocker, marigold is pretty dang killer though. bloom is prob their weakest album (i need to get the new one but only a few spins in and it already feels more solid than bloom) but marigold is a killer track regardless. but yeah check out the tide, the thief, and river's end for sure, excellent album. caligula's horse is the parama band that escaped from being a parama band and now everyone else sends them for me so i don't have to, it's great

i figure ihsahn gets cut because lonestar doesn't like the black metal style of growls on regen. i'm listening to it right now and yeaahh. but watch me be wrong and leprous gets the cut instead. if you asked me i'd say regen is the better song, so

I don't agree with Parama that Bloom is their weakest album, because I actually think it's their best. The first one is good, but lacks the tight and crisp production, the second one is great, but I can't get into some of the songs, and Bloom is fantastic. The one they released 1,5 months ago called 'In Contact' is slowly climbing to the top of my favourite releases from this year as well. Some great stuff on there, although it didn't seem that way upon first listen. Great band - and I thought you'd like them

So, for round 2 I'm safe from elimination? This could hypothetically mean I can send you utter crap, but I won't do that. Is it theoretically possible to get immunity more than once, if I happen to send the best song again in a future round?

Yes, theoretically you can get immunity from the regular cut in all 4 rounds, but the random floating cut has zero respect for immunity. He just kills....

I think if you get to the final 2 albums, and can't decide... this should still be an option for you to employ.

Evermind and ToN, both of your songs were, for me, average at best. The Leprous song had some good moments, but that last minute or so of falsetto chorus was painful after a few times. I think there was just something about the vocalist that I just couldn't agree with, and the song was a bit blah in general.

The Ihsahn song was bleak at best, I kept waiting for it to get really going but when it did it just kinda fizzled for me. And Parama called it in that the doom growls just didn't agree. By no means does this mean I don't like growls, or even doom-ish ones, Anciients is one of my favorite recent bands, but these just didn't do it for me.

The edge barely went to Leprous, and because of that, Train of Naught, you sir are cut. Thanks for playing, and please hang around to heckle and give these other guys shit.
