HELLOWEEN Survivor 2017 - Chameleon - round 2

CHAMELEON

Chameleon is the fifth studio album by Helloween, released in 1993. Very adventurous release, but also their least commercially successful, and last studio album to feature singer Michael Kiske and original drummer Ingo Schwichtenberg.

Chameleon... As I remember it was second or maybe third album that I've heard from Helloween when I was a kid. And I must tell Ya, I like it from the first time :) Even without typical Helloween elements that Keeper's or Walls have I Liked it. Chameleon is so pumped in melodies and different styles... Of course, it was last album with Kiske and Ingo who commited suicide in 1995, probably because of some schizophrenic episodes that he had... :( I know many Helloween fans who thinks that it is Their worst album, but I totally disagree. Some songs from Chameleon are still in my top 15 from Helloween and I think it won't change at all. Let's start Chameleon survivor, I'm very interested about Your opinion about particular songs from that album.

Micheal Kiske - vocals
Roland Grapow – guitar
Michael Weikath – guitar
Markus Grosskopf – bass
Ingo Schwichtenberg – drums

Crazy Cat being utilized from Chameleon survivor. I'm not surprised by that, and I even think that the first six rounds of Chameleon will go very smooth, but when We get to 7th or 8th round... that's where the troubles came in ;) Anyway, I think it's time for Windmill. I loved that track in the past, now still I think that it has some kind of magic but there are surely better songs than this one.

Me. Bland and boring all the way through. At the very least In the Night has a redeeming short passage, the "Every useful moment seems to be the thought of you" section.
I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

Totally agreed about In The Night section, but totally disagree about Music  :P I love it. But it only shows that Chameleon is really interesting album ;)

Indeed! the point on this album is not that the song are bad as in St. Anger bad, taken singularly they can be seen as experiments with other styles, sometimes good, sometimes not so good... it's just that a whole album of that was just too much at the time.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who loves I Believe, Giants, and Music. I'm already having trouble choosing a least favorite song out of this very solid bunch, but I guess I'll go with In the Night as well.
