I was struggling between RTL and selftitled... I was listening to RTL two days ago and I realized how important it was for me when I was young. The Black Album is my pick right here.

None More Black.

Sonically, fantastic!  But, has, quite possibly, my least favorite Metallica song, "Don't Tread On Me".  Plus, the others left are the foundation of an entire music scene.

The Black Album

The remaining three are what I call the big three.

I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

Justice

Yup, I expect to vote for it for a while, but it's certainly my least favorite of the remaining.

RtL has 6 good songs.
Justice has 8 good songs.
MoP has 8 good songs.
Black album has 9 good songs.

While the quality of those good songs might vary, RtL just doesn't have as much as the others.

And Justice for All, easily my least favorite of the four.

RTL introduced me to the band full force after picking up the three song vinyl of Creeping Death/Am I Evil and I believe Blitzkrieg, followed by the album purchase. Master of Puppets and the Black album were both staples for like an entire year in the cassette player in the car after release. Justice, while having a few good songs didn't have as strong of an appeal.

I see your point, but music sometimes trascends mere calculations and statistics; sometimes it's about the mood, the atmosphere of the album, the time when you heard it etc... for example, I'll never deny the greatness of Master, and I'll never pretend that Escape is a timeless masterpiece, but all in all, I still prefer Ride over Master. Same with Maiden, Dance of Death is not full of perfect songs from beginning to end, but still it's my favorite of the reunion albums, even if I'd be the first to agree that other albums are more consistent.

Nope! Music is always mere calculations and statistics.

Now turn those numbers into "percentage of the album"
