I'm a big fan of New Orleans (I was married there, and I have a time share a block from the Quarter, so go back regularly).

The wife and I first met on a balcony of a Bourbon St. bar when we were on respective spring breaks from grad school.   :lol  I stand by it!

Did you give her beads?

Amazingly, no beads were transacted!

WOW!

Yep...an "ah, what the hell" exchange of phone #s & email addresses led to a year of Texas/Massachusetts, punctuated by engagement, followed by a year of NJ/Mass, followed by getting married!  Met Spring 2003 (on the balcony of the Tropical Isle, for those familiar).

Nice. Last time I met a girl on a balcony I ended up spending 18 nights in ICU.

Don't know if it's the *best* in my book, but I've been to Maui twice.  Just the right balance of city and nature.  Lots of adventures.
