I had a tweet that made me think of my eclectic tastes. It reminded me of multiple purchases that are off pairings but to this day I still spin them. So post yours! Here is one for me that comes to mind.

I remember taking my bycicle to my cousins house which was 3 towns away so I bought both cassettes the day before so i had I played both biking down to see him.

Very cool! And another tidbit, 1984 was released on Dec 31 1983. Don't believe Wiki, record stores were selling the on Dec 31. I remember that clearly and we talked about it for years. I always wondered why on the internet it now says Jan 9, 1984?

I thought about that as well but even the radio stations at the time were promoting the release date. Not just one store mind you.

Not that's different Galaxies! I've never been the type to like one certain styles but the looks I've received over the years about my take in music always brought on a good conversation.

I was filling out my Genesis back catalog, and managed to find Trespass. At the checkout counter, the girl saw Genesis and asked if I went to the Phil Collins concert. This was years ago, and Phil had just played there a few days earlier. I screamed at her that this was real Genesis, with Peter Gabriel, before Phil Collins even joined the band, you ignorant slut, and if she knew half a shit about the band then she wouldn't insult customers with fucking stupid questions to try to be "friendly" and show "customer service" and all that bullshit! Well, I thought that anyway, but she was pretty cute so I just told her No, I couldn't get tickets.

O, I have a similar story. I went in to buy Slayer tickets at a local record store. This was in the summer of 1990. I went in to buy two tickets and the girl was like, nah, you don't really like Slayer. I was fresh out of college and didn't dress like a satanist. After some go back, I was like, "Give me my damn tickets!!".
