Is there any TV or movie character that, even though you like to follow on the big or the small screen, you realize you'd never ever want to have anything to do with them should they be real, existing persons?
I'm not looking for *characters* you hate, just their "real persons" counterpart should they be actually real.
I'll start with some names...
Homer Simpson (The Simpsons) - I have a lifelong appreciation for The Simpsons, and Homer always crack me up, but his stupidity would be an hell to endure in real life. This was the entire point of one of their best episodes ever, the Frank Grimes one. I hope to never work with someone like Homer in real life
Sheldon Cooper (The Big Bang Theory) - absolutely a thrill to watch him live, and Jim Parson is amazing at potrraying him. But dealing for real with such a self absorbed narcisist, totally OCD borderline autistic? no thanks.
Rodrigo (Mozart in the Jungle) - as much as it's hilarous to see this young and charming director doing things in his own way, he's completely hammered the entire time, and needs to be followed around more than a child. I'm not so sure his talents and his general goodness, in real life, would be enough to make everyone forget of how much of a completely stoned wild card he is every moment he's awake.
Nick Miller (New Girl) - he's loveable and funny, and good hearted, yes... but he's completely immature, absurd, and very stubborn. I would find hard to put up with all his goofiness just because at times he's funny, someone so messed up would never be able to score the girls he gets throughout the series.
Sherlock Holmes, his latest Cumberbatch version (Sherlock Holmes) - the smartest man alive, and he damn well knows it, and loses no occasion to show it off. Well, if he were real, I'd probably never have to deal wit him 'cause he's such a recluse, but I don't know if I'd ever see the genius beneath the arrogance and contempt he would surely display.
I will probably think of more, feel free to add your lists of characters that you love, but as long as they stay in fiction and they never materialize as real persons
