I don't like some songs on The Astonishing = they're so bad they make me cringe.
Nah it's just a 13yo fanfic- tier written a bearded middle age man. The amount of cheese would embarrass Arjen and Disney - lines like "my muuuuusiiiic plaaaaayeeerrr" and "brother can you hear me?" make me more uncomfortable than any horror movie :lol

"My music player" is still a much better line than "the world goes boom".

Genesis - I Can't Dance

For sure. I actually like most of the songs on that album, but this song is just terrible.

Dream Theater - Constant Motion, Prophets of War
Rush - Dog Years, Neurotica

But the biggest one for me is....

Jethro Tull - Bungle in the Jungle
Lol, I actually like Dog Years (hey man, it's the season of the itch! )
I agree about Neurotica, pretty bad!

Plenty of great songs in this thread so far.

My choices:

Iron Maiden - Childhood's end
Dream Theater - You not me
Rush - I think I'm going bald
The Beatles - Yellow submarine

I tried not to turn the list into "my least favorites" but "songs that make me feel uncomfortable" instead.

Shit I like a lot of songs you guys mentioned :D

I'm gonna go with:

Iron Maiden - Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter or Weekend Warrior
Dream Theater - Home (dirty bit )

Dream Theater - Our New World

^ As much as I do like The Astonishing, I can sympathise with this - it's a bit cheesy..

What about I Can't Dance ?

I Can't Dance is just sort of mindless fun.  Illegal Alien, especially the video, is just in really bad taste, and certainly has aged terribly.

Fleetwood Mac's "Not That Funny" is awful. That it comes before a great song like "Sisters Of The Moon" just baffles me.

Genesis-Illegal Alien

I came in here to post that most people saying "I Can't Dance" and "That's All" are crazy... Genesis has much worse songs, such as the one romdrums has listed here. Also even though they may claim it was a joke song "Who Dunnit" is just retch worthy.

Also I'll always have to add to these type lists... The Police - Mother

If you're talking about the song, I'm inclined to say yes. Me cringing my guts out when hearing this song, not so much.

I love the intro to COT, but I can see cringeworthy/cheesy, but would probably be a great song to hear in concert.
