He was my favourite Bond when I was younger, he brought the fun into the franchise.

RIP Roger

Good way of putting it. I prefer Connery as Bond, but I preferred Roger Moore's Bond movies.

The Spy Who Loved Me.  One of my favorite Bond movies (and I'm a BIG Bond fan).

Yup. TSWLM always tops my list. Golden Gun is also great, and FYEO is highly underrated.

I think View To A Kill is under rated. I love the climax with the zeppelin and the fight on the Golden gate Bridge.

I even like the theme tune.

Compared to dreck like Madonna's Die Another Day or Jack White's QoS theme tune (?)

Skyfall is also a great theme song.

I loved his movies when I was a kid....still do, but not as much cuz of the high camp. Still, being a diehard Bond fan, this news is pretty hard to take in, as he's the first Bond actor to go.

RIP Sir Roger

Yeah, he was the Bond I grew up with and naturally my favorite.  RIP.  :(

He bought some humour which is sorely lacking in the newer James Bourne movies...  :yeahright

...and you are?  "Bond, Uh....something Bond, I can't remember."  :rollin

Seriously though, I thought Roger Moore was the best.  He fit the part well.  :tup

Moore was my first exposure to Bond, so for a long time the one I most associated with the character. I think he did an admirable job, building on the franchise, adding some wonderful characteristics to the role, and being in some of the best films in the series. Thank you Sir Roger.

RIP Sir Roger Moore.

I still remember myself and Ftbd7 running through all the bond movies in marathons. We would drink vodka beyond capacity and quote the movies throughout its running time, and it never got old.
Feels like a piece of our childhood died yesterday.
We should do the Moore movies but themselves in his honor.
What do you say?
