It'd still be really easy to send bands you've never heard of

There is so much music out there at your fingertips and there are literally thousands of bands that are releasing quality music (even if they're not well known).

This forum has opened me up to so many bands and avenues to discover new bands. You just need to be able to listen to stuff with an open mind and judge on the music alone, not based on any preconceptions. My thirst for discovering my next musical obsession knows no bounds so I'm all about the unheard of, lesser known bands

VHB would actually meet Stadler's humorous criteria, and are one of the few who've received multiple certifications for their albums in this roulette so far.

In other news, album sales don't mean jack shit and the radio is dead to me.

Well, first, I was being funny, I get the point of a roulette.

But it's not about "an open mind" though, at least with me. Hell, I have everything from Justin Beiber to the guy who played guitar in my band in high school's self-released solo album (hey, maybe next round...). To me, it's visceral. If it feels good, it works. I don't have that "I liked REM before they were popular; now they SUCK" gene.

I DEFINITELY do not subscribe to the notion that "if it's popular, it must suck". Just the opposite; I think it takes an incredible and rare talent to write a song that touches people's hearts.
