I take panoramic shots on our vacations and use those for desktops. Bonus points if you know where this shot was taken.

Oh, and my taskbar auto hides.

Strassbourg?

I don't know how to get a screenshot of my desktop (kind of an idiot when it comes to computers), but this is my wallpaper:

I want to say somewhere in Switzerland, since it resembles Lucerne, but probably not.

I rotate between pix of Queen on stage, the 'Octavarium' cover, my dog, the Mackinac Bridge or outdoor settings.  After last night, the 'Abbey Road Gang' makes a reappearance.

...going along with Dragon Attack's Queen thread has been like taking a free class in Queen knowledge. Where else are you gonna find info like that?!

It does look Lucerne-esque (the towers), but I'm pretty confident in my answer since I think I've stood and taken pictures in that exact spot.

That looks like a Linux taskbar. It's not Ubuntu though, unless you are using a different theme. It reminds me of the Kali taskbar which uses Debian as the default distro. Is it Debian or am I just really overthinking this?  :blob:

My background is nothing fancy, its mostly black.  But my windows login screen is a picture I took of the Desert Watch Tower at the edge of the Grand Canyon

It's ubuntu but running Cinnamon (the Linux Mint GUI/shell) rather than unity, because Unity is a big pile of shite.

I switched over to Cinnamon on my Ubuntu machine a couple of weeks ago. Starting next year Unity will not be the default user interface; they'll be switching back to Gnome.

I didn't even notice the similarity  :lol
