Yeah, I already know the main reason why most ppl don't like the song is because they hate that 3% of it.. The song is full of great moments, and even that section is enjoyable; I don't care about the lyrics so I always pay attention to the music first..

Yeah, I already know the main reason why most ppl don't like the song is because they hate that 3% of it.. The song is full of great moments, and even that section is enjoyable; I don't care about the lyrics so I always pay attention to the music first..

I can't speak for anyone else, but I definitely don't like more than 3% of it. In fact, I don't like the entire song up until the swells section. Not the music, not the vocals, not the lyrics, none of it. I like the swell section and the music to the part after it, but the lyrics ruin that part to such a degree that I just can't listen to it anymore.

I was referring only to those memes about that little bit of the song, which give the impression that people who doesn't like the song is because of that particular section, or the lyrics as a whole.. I know, or want to believe, that most of you don't like most of the song (although I find that really hard to get, but that's something else).. What bothers me is that that tinny part of the song attracted so much negative attention and hatred that even being a 19 minute song that's the only section that always ends up being mentioned at the moment of saying why you don't like the song..

Yes, that's why it became a meme, not a reason to not like the song.. What I'm saying is that it gives that impression, but I could be wrong, and I hope I am... Can't do a poll to know that though..

All I can say in favor of the song is that, regardless the whacky storyline, the music not only is brilliant, but it *perfectly* captures the atmosphere of Tuscany and its landscapes. Been there several times, and really, even when I think of those villages and landscapes, the initial melody of the song comes into my mind. Petrucci completely nailed it. I will return shortly to Tuscany in a month or so and sure thing I will listen to the song possibly around the sunset while driving among those sceneries!
