Thanks for listening ! I almost never put any reverb on my rhythm guitars and I have 2 bass tracks going at once. I record one on a clean channel then copy and paste it into
a new track and put loads of dirt on that one. The clean one gives all the attack and the dirty one gives it some oomph.
I also copy and paste the solos so that there are 2 identical tracks in mono.
It means it pushes it up about 3 or 4 db - but that also means you only need to turn it *down* in the mix and it's not fighting to be heard.
I also turn the Humanise on EZDrummer on maximum so it doesn't sound robotic. It does mean that some hits aren't smack on the beat - but that just makes it more realistic.
