Oh right, Angry Birds. I forgot that was a thing. I did already install Crossy Road, and a Disney Crossy Road.

Maybe I'm dumb, but I cannot find Angry Birds in the Windows app store on this device. Maybe it can't run it? Maybe I'm an idiot? Maybe they didn't bother because Windows apps aren't a thing?

Im not sure, I'm not on top of the windows app store.  I got to imagine there's a kid section in the store and maybe just download the top free games.

311's tourbus is literally parked right outside my hotel.  I am so pumped, their bassist also just liked one of my tweets  :metal :metal I feel like he is just chilling so close to me as well lol  Things like that are why I like twitter.  Also, thanks king and blob for being my friends on twitter.  (King came up as recommended after I followed Blob, so if anyone else is out there on twitter, cramx3  :yarr )

Today is my Friday.

I am finding it hard to get work done... can't focus...

I caved and redownloaded Snapchat (Former coworker is the queen of being antisocial, and the only means of Social Media she uses is Snapchat... it's easier to chat with her via that than even text).

That's not helping me. I have one task (2 if you count just cleaning the office) and 5 hours to get it done. I'm going to MAKE SURE to get this shit done, because my boss has decided once again he's threatened by me, so he's pulling his dick out and waving it around. Thing is now, I will pull mine out and wave back. He is threatening to take me off my Friday Morning shifts and throw me back on Friday Evening, as a guy fucked up last week and in my super's eyes, it's because I wasn't there. "We need someone on Friday Afternoon!" Well, HE only works Monday - Thursday Mornings, so he seems to be free on Fridays. And  our lead who works under us (basically my previous position)  works Monday-Friday Mornings. Shit seems a little lopsided, don't you think? I am not saying I am invincible, but he is already on thin ice and his job is on the line. I am in a much better position to stir the pot than he is.
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Nice.  Tomorrow is Field Day at work, they rent out the nice club at Liberty State Park and supply an open bar and lawn games for the entire company.  It's pretty cool and means we don't have to work, just have fun.  But this year, no one from my team or the teams I work with are going, so I was given the option to work from home, which I accepted as it's effectively a day off.  So yea, today feels like Thursday or Friday for me as well.

Also, I am fairly dead from last night's 311 show.  So much fun and I can't remember the last time I got so drenched in sweat at a show.

Ah, that's cool. Privately owned company? I interned at a privately held company when I was in college, and they used to throw a party for us every quarter. There was one day that summer they bused us all out after work from the office in Jersey City to Chelsea Piers, where there was food, an open bar, and a choice of bowling, ice skating, or or the driving range. They also had a car service there to take everyone home afterwards. My subsequent employers have been publicly traded companies, no whiff of anything like that going on. Though I'm pretty sure that place I interned at doesn't do it either anymore, I just happened to be there right before the market started to tank :lol

Yea, a private tech company.  We talk internally a lot about how things will change once we go public like less of these types of things, but who knows.  It's a pretty big thing with the company so I don't see them changing that in the near future.

Fantastic, really had a good time.  Great setlist, played half of the blue album to celebrate it's 22 year anniversary and 10 new songs, including the live debut of one of them, plus a bunch of others.  Really good energetic crowd too.  Definitely one of the better of the 311 shows I've seen (I think that was my 12th time seeing them).  I posted some more in the concerts thread.

I was told to be online for 4 hours today while home and then take the rest of the day for myself.  Not a bad thursday!  I got to do some firmware upgrades that are very easy to do and I can mostly play video games while I do that so that's how I'll spend the 4 hours.

G'morning gang. Just need to make it a few more hours in the office, and then I go home and leave bright and early tomorrow for Portland Maine with some friends. We've got a private "industry" tour of Allagash lined up for Friday afternoon, and then just general shenanigans Friday evening. The focal point of the weekend is a pilsner festival one of the other breweries up there is throwing. They've got a beautiful space by a lighthouse right on the water, and they're encouraging people to bring chairs/bathing suits/fishing gear and then there will about 40 craft brewers pouring awesome lagers for our enjoyment. Going to be such a good time :hat

Slept in a little today - 7:30 until I heard the dogs moaning to be fed.  Lazy day yesterday (very gloomy weather).  Looks to be more of the same today.

Practice driving with jingle.kids, probably do some chores, read, workout, a little bit of job-searching... how the hell did I have a life when I was working?  Seriously, it's so true what people say when they're off work for a period of time - "how did I do all the things I did when I was working?"  The answer is easy - I didn't.  I wasn't working out, reading, spending as much time with family.  Really enjoying this time - but I have to make sure I don't enjoy it TOO much.  I'm too young and not quite financially stable enough to retire full-time.
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".
