We have a thunderstorm coming through now, it's nice considering how crazy hot it's been.

The one the only.

Going to cook up the special bacon I bought from the butcher shop.  Seeing Spiderman then food shopping.

Special bacon?! sounds yummyy

Another relaxing day for me, aka video gaming and lounging.  Three concerts this week (311 twice & Incubus) so I'm mostly just saving my wallet and sanity because it should also be a busy work week.

Was gonna do some gaming myself, but I give up. The new update for Rocket League seems to just cancel half of the games it sets up before they begin, and when I do finally get a game, my team is total ass and can't play for shit. The worst thing about online games is people. People suck.

I hate multi-player games/modes/stories.  Especially in shooting games, I spend more time re-spawning than I do actually playing.  Screw multi-player - I don't have 10s of hours a week (well, actually, I do) to spend mastering a game and maxing out all of my weapons to be competitive enough to enjoy playing.

Give me a semi-intelligent AI to battle, and I'm there.

Gonna go workout now.  Got a busy afternoon ahead.
I didn't know I could handle another 10 inches and it was rough but in the end I'm glad I did it.

Rocket League at least puts you all on equal ground, your own skill level aside, but I hate that you're completely at the mercy of random people as to whether you'll have fun or not. I'm over spending all that time waiting for other players, then you get a bunch of 15 year old kids who yell obscenities at you over nothing and take it way too seriously. There's maybe a 20% chance on any given day that I'll actually have fun playing online, and an 80% chance it's just going to fill me with rage.

Yea I certainly get my ass handed to me by young kids all the time.  I usually stick to one multiplayer game to get decent at it and have fun with it.  When I jump between different ones is when I end up being terrible at all and not having as much fun.

Once a week.  I'm not obsessive like some are about their lawns.  Is it green?  Yes.  Then I'm good.

How often do you do yours King?

The right answer is "whenever I damn well please!"  :heybaby:

Actually, the right answer is whenever the Queen well lets me

I know it's probably getting tired, but 'mow the lawn' was THE euphemism for something else when I was younger - I can never think of that phrase otherwise.  And given the fact that jingle.son cuts the grass here now, it's absolutely imperative I refer to it as "cutting the grass".

Good Morning peeps.

Or afternoon or whatever.

Or Blob if you are Blob.
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

To be fair, you had to suffer 250ms lag for the sake of me being on the other side of the planet, and we still managed to win every game*. Any time you're up for more suffering, I'm in. :lol

250ms? Managable.

I raid in WoW with worse latency.

I guess apples and oranges though?

I've never played Rocket League.

I don't hate my job. It's mentally stimulating and I feel needed at the job, two of my co-workers are terrible, and I sit next to them. Like the whole floor is 15 people and everyone is great except these two, if I play my cards right I'll get my desk moved.

I get it, Reap. We just started a content intern and part-time to full-time content writer. They are taking the two desks next to me temporarily, so I have some neighbors. Woo!

I just got a neighbor in the cube next to mine. It's been vacant for the last 18 months. I hate it :( I loved having my privacy. With the way my cubicle is positioned and located, I could go an entire day without having to see a single person outside of bathroom breaks.

We don't really have cubes at all. We have separate desks in an open plan, and they've laid the office out with small attractive dividers so we have visual privacy and there's plenty of open space so we aren't on top of each other. A really nice set up.

These two people will eventually be moved once new desks are installed. They are next to me for lack of additional desks in the content dept at the moment.

I share an office with my coworker in a building that has little to no people in it.  Us humans are greatly outnumbered by computers here something probably close to 2000 computers per person in this building including security and building staff.  Luckily I am really close with my coworker so there's very little issues with people and the drama that comes from an office environment.
