I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

So I took Tuesday off (Roger Waters), had my normal Wed and Thurs off, and spent basically all three days out of town. Someone decided to swap my schedule WITHOUT telling me and I was expected to be at work at 7am this morning. I got a call at like 720 asking where the fuck I was.

Ummm, about 2.5 hours away.

I am going back to working Friday Mornings (meaning no more getting off at 11pm and coming back 7am). It was supposed to take effect next month. I know, because *I* made the schedule. Well, apparently my boss penciled me in starting this week. It was on the schedule on Monday, but I didn't look at the schedule because I wasn't informed that there were changes made (Technically I am even supposed to get a freaking e-mail every time someone else makes an adjustment to the schedule). I told the lead (who technically works under me) to find coverage... and I came in for the afternoon shift. I am waiting for this to turn into a thing with my Supervisor, because if it does, I can go to the owner of the company (co owner but whatever) and talk with him. Because even HE knows that I took a day off and was out of town.

Just paid so many bills, it hurts

However, the power bills are soooo down thanks to the solar panels.  First summer with them fully operational and I'm seeing savings which is really nice and a big FU to our local power company (JCPL) who have been pushing to put up new huge transmission lines in my neighborhood.  So I'm loving how I am cutting into their business in a green way.
