That's why I am channeling my energy into making the schedule for next month.  TECHNICALLY it isn't my job to do yet, but since my Supervisor hasn't done it in 2 months, I figure I will set the entire thing up. The big difference between him making the schedule and me doing it (besides it actually getting done) is I actually have worked shifts with pretty much all of our guards. I know their strengths and their weaknesses. My supervisor only works with one person (a lead... and they should NOT be working together but whatever)... Those 2 also work Monday - Thurs and Monday - Fri mornings, monopolizing those shifts (Only 2 people on per shift except nights). I have been the one who got fucked into working a late shift on Friday, getting off at 11PM, and coming back 7AM the next morning. I am going to change that... AND I will still make sure that shifts get filled evenly and we don't wind up with shit employees working together.

The higher the alcohol you aim for in a beer the longer you age it.

He about the flavor? With whisky the flavors become more developed and robust. Does beer get more bitter/sour or are other complexities released as it continues to age?

Anything from hops (so bitterness + hop flavor) tends to fade, and quickly. IPAs are practically a shell of their fresh selves by probably 2-3 months from packaging, depending on how little oxygen the packaging process allows in and how the beer is stored (colder = better for storage). Malt character tends to become a bit more rounded/soft, particularly roastier flavors in a stout/porter which can sometimes take on almost a soy sauce quality (which can add to complexity in small doses but too much ruins a beer imo). Oxidation can take some of the alcohol and sometimes turn it into either pleasant esters that lend some caramel or almost port/sherry qualities to it, or in a worse case taste straight up papery. The actual ABV doesn't change, but I've definitely noticed that a beer that has a little alcohol heat when fresh will often seem mellowed out in that regard after a year or two of age. Generally I wouldn't look to age anything that was less than maybe 8-9% ABV, as otherwise the oxidation and aging takes over the beer too easily/quickly. I have had some beers that were 15-16 years old though and just so damn smooth/good.

As far as sourness, if a beer isn't brewed to be sour it can still go sour over time if a brewery's sanitation and handling practices aren't very good, but that doesn't happen too often. Intentionally sour beer will change over time as the yeast/bacteria that make it sour and funky are a lot heartier than normal brewer's yeast and will still be consuming/interacting with compounds in the beer for years after the beer was bottled. Sour beer is probably the only kind of beer that is age-able at lower ABVs.

Morning guys.

Morning work rant. I wake up at 6am today because my phone is blowing up from our offshore team (hint, they are in India). They support our internal employees overnight so we don't have to, but my team is also on call in case they need to escalate. So this offshore guy calls me and tells me has tried everything with this employee and needs my help. I get up, go look at it, his computer needed a reboot. Which is the first troubleshooting step for every help desk I've ever worked at.

Two failures here, offshore doesn't have a clue on how to troubleshoot basic computer issues and my regular on call person didn't take the call and it was escalated to me, over something so stupid. Now I'm sour, and my team will feel my wrath this morning.
