Holy hell it's a boring day today. After having to very tight serious deadlines yesterday, I have absolutely fuck all to do today, so I'm basically just sitting here collecting a paycheck watching seconds tick by.

I'm very much looking forward to it being April, everyone else on my team had a bunch of rollover vacation days from last year that they had to use by the end of March, so we've been shorthanded every day for the last few weeks.

My May and June are going to be full schedules indeed.

May:

5th-7th: Rosfest in Pennsylvania with the DTF Irregulars

12th: taking my daughter and her friend to see one of their favorite bands, Bastille

20th-21st: Relay for Life

28th: My wife and I are providing music for a wedding

June:

5th-6th: Chaperone my daughter's class trip to Washington DC

17th-24th: Family vacation in North Myrtle Beach, SC

30th: My oldest daughter's 21st birthday





I'm gettin' too old for this shit.

I've got pretty much one trip to look forward to each month for the next couple months.

April: 3 nights in Vermont with a bunch of friends for a beer event
May: Overnight to the Boston area for a Metallica show
June: National Homebrewers Conference in Minneapolis
July: Family vacation for a week down in the Outer Banks

My wife's cousin is getting married in July in Cooperstown, NY and it's at a resort so the crush was on to book rooms, etc. And it wasn't fucking cheap at all. So here we were stressing over the trip and having someone watch our dog while we figure out the travel with the kids, only to find out children are not invited...so FUCK THAT we won't be going. Huge weight off.

Problem solved. I feel like a cousin is close enough where I would normally expect that kids would be invited, unless the wedding was in general not kid friendly somehow.

I'm sure it's because they chose to have it at a resort in a resort town in summer and $$$. As it is, to stay at the venue would be nearly $400 a night, plus travel to and from, not to mention the aggravation of bringing along a 6 and 2 year old in the heat of summer, dressing them up, and then actually attending the wedding.

Nope, the beer forum I'm on is having an anniversary party Saturday night at Parker Pie. We're coming up Thursday, spending the night in Waterbury, and then on to Hill and that area on Friday. Party Saturday and then head home Sunday.
