People that misuse the word "myself" thinking it makes them sound smarter.   It does not.

A guy hits my parked car, has no insurance and no i have to play a deductible.

Myself, I would not know how to play a deductible.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

I am totally sincere when I ask this, but....how?

Maybe I'm just an idiot, but I can't imagine how someone would misuse the word myself, especially the point of it becoming a thing.

"My wife and myself went to dinner last night to celebrate our anniversary."

"My teammates and myself were excited to play this football game."

I dont think I've experienced that either, but could see how it would start to annoy me.

What I find mildly irritating is that I can't think of anything mildly irritating to post except for the fact that I can't think of anything mildly irritating to post...ummm....yeah....it's a paradox.  The space/time continuum is in jeopardy.   :lol

I'm surprised. I've heard that sort of thing a LOT over the years. In every day conversation, as well as when people are making an effort to sound more formal or educated (little do they know).

That might be it. I have no interest in sports, so myself is never exposed to that.

People who are too wrapped up in their world to give  a shit about what's going on around them.

I am back to working Friday Mornings. I haven't worked a weekday morning in over a year here. Had a car roll up to my window. I said "Good morning! Where are you heading?"

And she just said "Ok thanks!" and pulled through the gate (which was open for a whole other reason).

Really?
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

I could give her the benefit of the doubt and assume she didn't hear you properly, and just guessed at what you said.

But I'm not one to give people the benefit of the doubt. Bitch.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

She might have just been in a fog. I went to Subway today for lunch and the girl said "Hi, welcome to subway, what can I get for you". I replied with "I'm good thanks, you?".

:lol I've done similar as well.

When I get dropped off at an airport and the person who drops me off (usually an uber driver) says "have a good flight!" and I respond "you too" as if they said have a good day.  I do this so often that I usually just start laughing once I shut the door at how pre-programmed my mind is to respond to similar situations.

Or when I worked at Boston Market in the evenings but then had a day shift and still told customers to "have a good night!" at 12pm.

No. What it is is the fact that a lot of the people who come through my gate are housekeepers/gardeners who don't speak much English. Just happened again (with a different woman).

*Woman rolls up to the window and just stares blankly into it until I pop my head over*

Me: "Good morning! Where are you going?"

Woman: *waves* "Thank you" *pulls up to gate*

Fucking really? :lol

I say that last one ALL THE TIME.   I also say "I need that like I need a third asshole" and "when the foot is on the other shoe" (I stole that last one from Ian Gillan), though, so it's all meant to be funny.

Yeah, I know.  Kinda like, "It's neither here nor there."  Oh yeah?  So, where is it?   :lol

I find this sort of thing way too frequent and much more than just mildly irritating.

It's just saying that there is more than one way to say something, in this case, both of those are equal to 6.

It makes more sense to me than "same difference" or "a horse apiece," both of which try to get the same point across.

I hadn't heard it either until my wife used it a couple years ago. I had to do a double take and I must have had that "What?!" look on my face when I did. Apparently it's a Wisconsin thing.

I also use "same difference" as it's what my parents used, especially my mom, but I was just meaning that it still makes slightly less sense to me than the "six" phrase when I think about it.

I'm trying not to cut him since I can't get trailer moves in the door and this 20 old fucknut thinks it's a punishment.   Tomorrow,  I will punish him.
