Most of the past generations in my family had ridiculous amounts of kids. My grandfather was one of nine. My great-grandfather was one of eleven. When I asked my grandfather why this was so, he said they didn't have a lot to do to keep them busy back then... My grandfather was the quiet type but I think it was because he was too busy living in his dirty mind. His advice to me after my girlfriend and I broke up (this was years ago) was, "Love 'em and leave 'em."

So I stopped in at a Circle K (Gas Station mini mart for those who don't know) this morning on my way to work. I was like 2 minutes away from work, and had 8 minutes until I had to be there.. I ran in to grab a soda and 2 "breakfast" hot dogs.  It's got one of those set ups where you have the grill thingy and then the buns in a drawer directly underneath.

So I get my first hot dog in the bun, and set it on the ledge in front of the drawer. I start to unwrap my second bun, and this dude walks up, opens the drawer my hot dog was sitting in front of and knocked it on the ground. "Dude, really?" I said in my head as I picked up my now soiled hot dog and threw it away. I go to grab the tongs to grab another hot dog, and the dude snatches the tongs out from under my hand. Like I was 2 inches from it. THEN THE GUY STANDS THERE AND STARTS MESSING WITH SEVERAL OF THE ITEMS ON THE GRILL WHILE JABBERING IN SPANISH ANOTHER DUDE WHO WAS IN THE NEXT AISLE OVER.

Finally, he finishes and gets the fuck out of my way. Sweet. Finally. I grab some mustard and go to step in line. As I am walking up to the line, THE SAME MOTHER FUCKER RUSHES AHEAD AND JUMPS IN LINE IN FRONT OF ME. And then he proceeded to BUY FUCKING LOTTO TICKETS, spending like so much excess time picking out his scratchers. I Finally got to pay for my shit and got to work like 5 minutes late.

If it wasn't for the fact that I was/am running on very little sleep, I would have pulled the guy aside and told him to go fuck himself.
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Yeah, that hot dog drama is bullshit. You are a more patient guy than me, lol.

Getting back to the kids thing for a second. These 5 kids are pretty well behaved and respectful surprisingly, but I am learning a valuable lesson about my capabilities and limitations. I literally just do not have the energy to provide that amount of parenting.

I think with one, I could dedicate the time and energy needed to parent and raise the child. Anything beyond that, I just don't know. Honestly, at the rate I am going, I may never have children, but who knows.

SIM cards in phones.

My phone (Galaxy S4) Finally took a shit. It doesn't read the SIM anymore. No worries.. we have a couple spare phones that are compatible with our network that I can use for a few months till I can buy a new phone.

Oh... shit. They take NANO SIM cards. My SIM is a MICRO.

Now I have to go to T-Mobile and buy a new SIM Card. $30.

And then I have to get my Girlfriend's Dad to actually have them swap my service to the new SIM, as he is the only person authorized on the account to do so.

You'd think this would be easier...

I'm sorry Jay, I haven't had an issue doing it in the past, sometimes I got a bit to liberal with the cutting so it wouldn't stay in the tray well but it would still work.

Yea I saw that about the ticks.  Apparantly near me, the Northeast of the US, the ticks are really bad this year and have some nasty diseases with them.  As someone who's been bitten by many ticks in his life, I am not at all happy with these new variations of them.  My tick removal from last summer: https://youtu.be/CSHSKLtKJqU?t=39s

When you're going through the morning routine of hygiene that includes trimming your facial hair and you jack it up out of nowhere which forces you to shave completely.

I haven't had a bare skinned face since last October.....until this morning.

I made the mistake of going from beard to goatee.....keeping the goatee nice and trimmed requires way more effort and concentration than I was used to. Had a small slip up and took a nice chunk out of the thing...it was un-fixable. Oh well....I'll let the skin 'breathe' a bit  ha ha ha

I never had issues with the goatee, mine was the thin lined beard.  I always screwed that up.

Haha, I have done that...many times.

However, even though I grow facial hair quickly and easily, and look better with it, that feel of a freshly shaven face is pretty awesome.  :coolio

That's what caused me to ax my goatee last year.

Took a little too much off one side. Tried to even it out. Oh... gotta trim the other side again.

FUCK IT

So much this. Next year, July 4th is on a Wednesday. I'd rather just get July 2nd paid off instead. If people want to use PTO to get a longer vacation, they are going to regardless.

I am totally sincere when I ask this, but....how?

Maybe I'm just an idiot, but I can't imagine how someone would misuse the word myself, especially the point of it becoming a thing.
