Sluggish/embedded video saturated websites in 2017. I'm talking more about the big sites that shouldn't have these problems. Weather.com is a perfect example. You try to load it an it's so bogged down with stupid videos and just crap that lags the site down. Does no one QA/QC this?

I'm aware there are better weather sites but I've seen that problem on other sites too and it just boggles my mind.

It's a problem with a LOT of sites. My PC has solid hardware. Your website should not be bogging things down. Be better.

On that subject, any site with video that auto-plays needs to be eradicated. Nobody wants it. And nobody wants to watch a 40-second video of someone telling them something that they could've read in 3 seconds. Just stop.

I also hate it when you go on a site to read something and an unrelated video just immediately starts playing and if you scroll down away from it, then it follows you down the page. come on people.

Sites with autoplay videos are literal AIDS. The first thing I do when that happens is use ad-block to kill it because fuck you website. I'm not wasting my limited internet data on a video that gives me nothing that the text immediately below tells me anyway.

Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

I hate that if you have insomnia there is literally *NOTHING* you can do about it but just lie there and wait.

This is my girlfriend, she'll lay down at 12 and be up until 4.

Luckily I managed to get just enough to not feel like total crap on our busiest day of the year.

We're a small cafe in a small town and we took £900 in one day.

I've been there two years and that's the most i've seen us take in one day.

But I slept better last night of course. I was bound to.

Even worse are the YT ads that are super loud (even when you have your volume set reasonably).

I thought of one today at work.. When you tell customers that just came in that you close in 5 mins and they're like " oh ok we dont want much "

Then over an hour later and theyre still there sipping their coffee chatting absolute rubbish and showing 0% signs of leaving.

People who say Ax instead of Ask.
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

People who say Ax instead of Ask.

Exactly. I say it correctly, but people are so used to hearing/saying it wrong that they just get confused. Yea, I chop down trees with my ask, while listening to Askle Rose and then I shower and put on some ask body spray. It's fine!

Yeah and I saw on Wiki that it's now acceptable to say Expresso. It's like - you say something wrong enough times and people start saying it like that properly.

Soon it will be acceptable to type Your to mean You Are.

To be fair, isn't most of the reason why words have multiple meanings because people were used them incorrectly?

There's a few words I chronically mispronounce, ecscape is one of them and I don't drink espresso often enough but Im sure I would mispronounce that too since it's similar sounding ones that I struggle with.

I throw an "x" in the word escape more often than not. It's just how it comes out.

Ironically I pronounce ask with an x more than I'd like.

I was like born tongue tied... and learned to speak before I had it corrected. So I slur and mispronounce a lot of shit. I am also very self conscience of it. So I kick myself when I start speaking fast and start fucking things up.

Go ahead and ax anyone I work with. They've seen (heard?) it.

I also can't say "alpaca" properly. I have to consciously pronounce it slow or it comes out "al-pal-kuh". I have no idea where the extra L comes from.

Speaking of mispronouncing words,  my English teacher always pronounces prelude as "prell-yood" instead of "pree-lood", it's so annoying.

There are so many of them. People just need to say things the right way. :lol  I get it if someone has an accent or it's their second language. That's completely understandable. But I'm talking about people not being able to speak properly in their own language. I'm looking at you Americans. Oh, wait. I'm one, too.

Patty's Place in Thomaston CT still has a "Freedom fries sold here" hanging above their entryway.
