There were a couple times I would be watching a movie, and at some point think "I thought John Hurt was in this..." only to realize I was watching him the whole time, without realizing it, as he was so immersed in his character and his costume/makeup.

Saw this earlier and it's sad on both my end and the shit meme society that the first thing I thought of after "that sucks, shame" is "time for the 2017 memes".

But yeah, true loss to the industry. Really great to watch this man act. I'll always remember him most from Hellboy and V.

RIP DTP.

He was also at the two extreme sides of dictatorships. Chancellor Adam Sutler in V for Vendetta, the tyrannic ruler of a fascist UK, and Winston Smith in the 1984 movie adaptation.
I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

I woke up and my sister told me that the dragon from Merlin died, so I instantly knew she meant John Hurt died. :(
He also played the War Doctor in my favourite episode of Doctor Who. He's had a long career with many memorable roles. RIP.

Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

I watched Hellboy last night in tribute. If I can find Elephant Man, I'm going to watch that film too. I haven't seen it in a long time.

He voiced the main character, Hazel, in the film adaptation of Watership Down, my favorite film of all time. RIP
