On this whole 2016 death trend thing, I'd also like to point out that the original manager of the Beatles has died.

To end the year offing directly Paul McCartney would have been too much even for 2016.

Brian Epstein died in 1967.   He's literally been dead longer than I've been alive (he died in August of that year, I was born in early September).

That would be Allan Williams, who was more of a promoter/backer than a real manager during the Beatles' REALLY early days.  He died Dec 2016.
