Only in America

View is from the dash cam of a Sudbury, MA police car who pulled over this Mazda 5 for attempting to transport "a fully mature Douglas Fir".

Which as we all know is illegal because you have to actually be able to see to drive a car.  Pretty sure this counts as impaired vision.

Shoulda gone to the Sudbury Jewelry Exchange instead!

(sorry, the only thing I know about Sudbury. They had this hilarious ad for a while where the whole store did a "windshield wiper" wave at the end :lol )

Nah. Search "meanwhile in Russia" on Youtube. This tree would be a tiny little hatchback and nobody would give him a second look.

There is one of those by me too and I see that type of ad all the time!

Probably.  But would it be a Douglas Fir on a Mazda 5?  I know, pretty pedantic use of "Only in America" but I don't make the rules.

No. Some sort of Lada would be my guess.

I guess this is the most appropriate thread. I was browsing Google Earth (vacation planning) and came across this in street view.

I originally searched for the Ghostbusters firestation, but ultimately navigated my way away from it. Are you wanting a link to the perspective that shows the blurred face?

My dentist is Dr. Payne. When I was first referred to him by his wife I told her "oh, that's unfortunate" and she looked to the ground and said "I know, I'm sorry," shaking her head despondently.  :lol

Great dentist, though. Almost worth the death of my former dentist (but not quite).

I don't know how many of these are real or not, but there was a liquor store right next to the Cumberland Farms I used to go to with my parents as a kid, and the liquor store permittee was Stephen Drank.

"Her husband Kevin Moore praised August's generous nature in a public statement after her death, saying: "She was the kindest person I ever knew and she meant the world to me." Her husband went on to say this is not how he wanted it to end, and questioned his ability to be open again.

Someone commits suicide because of bullying, but it's in the funny thread because there's someone else named Kevin Moore?

Also RIP. :( I hadn't heard about this.

I didn't find her hot, but it is a damn shame. She seemed to have been the sort that had her shit together and really enjoyed her work, and I tend to be pretty supportive of such gals. I also see the irony in what went down and it's pretty sad, but this isn't the place for that discussion.

Yeah, too many duck faces for "hot".  I'm sure she was a nice girl, but that story is... I probably shouldn't say any more lest I be called cruel and uncaring.
