He passed away tonight apparently of a heart attack playing hockey with his son.
I don't know about others, but I loved Growing Pains when I was younger and still watch re-runs.
Another sad loss this year.

Alan Thicke was a pretty cool guy. Check out this interview with Dan Le Batard from last week and try not to die laughing at the 6:30 mark...
