What 70s rock stars would have been social media addicts?
« on: December 04, 2016, 08:29:17 PM »
If social media was around in the 70s, what rock stars do you think would have been all over FB and twitter with updates, interacting with fans, etc.?

Imagine Keith Moon's drunken rants and pictures from his partying! :P

Does David Lee Roth count? Van Halen had their debut album in 1978 and active since 72.

Diamond Dave would have been all over Twitter and it would have been entertaining.

A somewhat similar thought: If John Lennon was still with us (or other deceased rock stars), how would he have used social media to interact? Would he have embraced it at all?
Zydar is my new hero.  I just laughed so hard I nearly shat.

If Ozzy could have managed it while "flying high again" then it would've been wonderful.   Live Facebook video update from The Alamo  :metal

Glenn Hughes from Deep Purple. He's all over Twitter. Almost Shatner-like, which is saying something.  :lol

...going along with Dragon Attack's Queen thread has been like taking a free class in Queen knowledge. Where else are you gonna find info like that?!

I doubt it.

Me too.  When you consider how guarded Freddie was about his private life - heck, he cut one of his best friends out of his life for good when he got close to figuring out he had AIDS - I doubt he would have been a "look at me" social media whore.
