Here we are, the final round of the finals, where we determine which is the top song in the survivor! We are down to, what I think, are two of the bands defining works during their "prog period", the first of 3 side-long songs and the title track to their fourth album, "2112", and the second track to the following album, a near-11 minute track that shows the band expanding their sounds even more, "Xanadu". Only ONE can be declared the top song, though, so which will it be?

Honestly, this is going to be one tough decision, and to help things along, to ensure that EVERYONE who wants to vote gets a chance to, I've made this a 2-day round, just to be sure that everyone over the weekend can vote! I know a lot of people are probably busy with family and shopping for the holiday weekend, so I'm letting the round go long so we can all participate!

Thanks again to everyone that has voted in this survivor, be it from the beginning or just some of the time, you all helped this survivor move along and your votes definitely made this one a huge success in my book!

It's great, but I have to admit, it's not one of my favorites. As a matter of fact, I haven't played it in... well, years.

2112 is a good number one.

I'm thinking about doing a 1-day tie-breaker round, but if so, I'll post it up tomorrow evening as it's pretty last for me right now (almost 2:30am here). I'll see what other responses are. Unfortunately, I cannot just ask if anyone hasn't voted, what their vote would be, because it's not a requirement that everyone post their vote, so I can't be too sure if someone actually voted or not.

I had this with the 2014 edition of the Haken survivor. The final round of the Finals ended in a tie.... 12 against 12. Here's what I did:

I had peace with it and left it as it was. This is how people voted, redoing the round didn't feel right to me, especially since the round lasted two days and the results were hidden until the poll was finished.
