Having missed a few recent gigs owing to my broken leg, my schedule for the rest of the year currently looks like this:

09/29 - Big Big Train
10/13 - Marillion
10/23 - Tift Merritt
10/30 - Jason Isbell
Hey, I actually found another Jason Isbell fan here!  :metal

I got into him a few months ago, I need to check if he is coming by my area of the woods.

One week from today.... Iron Maiden!  I've been listening to Ghost since they are the opener.  Some good stuff.  Going to be a lot of fun, entered myself in the first to the barrier contest so hoping to be very close.

Ah, that's right, meant to reply to your text. I'm going to keep an eye on tickets and see if they get real cheap the day of/before the show and if so I'm in for a pre-game. Hell, I may be even if I don't end up at the show :lol

I may not being doing a pregame.  Likely getting right in line as soon as I get there from work to be as close as possible.  Still working on this with my buddy (you might have met him, he made it towards the end of the DTF meet up before RCMH last year) about how we are getting there and whatnot.... but I'm pretty sure we are both getting right on line.  I think I may be bringing some pre-made drinks with me to have while waiting.  If you have a floor ticket, I'd definitely save you a spot in line.  Granted, if I win first to the barrier, this all may be moot. (Im actually not sure if you need to get there early for that, or just in time for doors open).

I'm not sure, googling it says 7:30 but not sure if thats doors or if thats when the show starts.  I would have thought doors at 7.  I probably can't get out of work before 5 so that puts me getting to the arena around 5:30.

I caught him on the last tour, it was one hell of a show, and he's a great live performer.

I like Jason Isbell, he changed my perspective on Country music.
Over the last couple years, I've gotten into Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, and Chris Stapleton, Isbell being my favorite of the three. As someone who had never given country music a chance, it was shocking to me how good those guys are. Can't wait to see Isbell live (and I'll see his wife, who's very talented as well, open for him at the second show!). I've watched enough of his shows on Youtube to know he's an awesome performer.

Seeing Train tonight with the gf, she is excited.

I'm a little bummed there are no more original members playing, it's become a full pop band now.

I was in Philly last night to see Gene Simmons at the Trocadero.   I used to live there (2nd Street, and later on Broad Street).  Great place to see shows.

You could've saved yourself a lot of typing by just saying "Cruise to the Edge", and "RoSFest".

Let's tentatively add Orphaned Land to September..starting to like this circa PPUSA tour the country thing, it's making for an epic month. Now, as jingle stated, if Vanden Plas and Myrath could just follow suite...

It's probably a fairly safe assumption that a few of the bands at PPUSA will tour.  Last year, Haken and Circus Maximus planned tours around it, I think Devy started his right after, and weren't Spock's and Blind Guardian in the midst of tours as well?

There's always hope.  Never deprive anyone of hope, it might be all they have.

But with that hope is the fear that they'll announce east coast only tours, something bands have been doing all too much lately.

Apparently I actually need to get there a bit earlier than I thought (was thinking I could arrive a bit later for this, but it says 5:15pm to start lining up) so now I need to get out of work earlier but oh fuck yea I am pumped.

Of course, that wasn't meant to be an insult. I actually like the heat and would probably enjoy it there. Maybe one day, if I don't decide to retire in Sicily.

I'm going to Graspop this weekend  :metal

Alcest, Alestorm, Alter Bridge, Anathema, Baroness, Coheed and Cambria, Devin Townsend, Epica, Gojira, Mastodon, Opeth, Queensryche,  Red Fang, Sabaton, Solstafir, The Dillinger Escape plan. Man so many bands I want see we're undoubtly going to miss half of those  :lol

I'm especially excited for Mastodon, Opeth and Solstafir. (though I'm going to see Mastodon one and a half week later anyway  :P)
