Atlanta 12/4/2016 Meetup/Roll Call
« on: November 13, 2016, 04:00:49 PM »
Hello everyone! I'm very excited to see the show for the third time and I finally don't have to get on a plane to see the band.

DT USA will be hosting a meet-up at DaVinci's Pizzeria Midtown, which is very, very close to the venue. We'll be there from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. I recently moved to the area and would also like to meet some fellow Atlanta DT fans. Here's the Facebook event page, if you'd like to share/attend:

I'll be there.  Should be awesome, maybe the most acoustically perfect venue in town.  See you at Davinci's.  I have 3 or 4 DT first timers with me, kids from local bands that are friends of my daughter.  Come to my house?  Play guitar?  Sit down, have I got something for you to hear!!
But the arc of your life will still be profound

Hello AngelBack, see you there! Anyone you'd like to bring is welcome. I am very much looking forward to the show and for Thank You Scientist on December 7th at The Masquerade.

Just a bump and to add that I can now reveal that we will be testing everyone's DT knowledge in a trivia contest and we'll have a grand prize for the winner.

Hey, I was thinking of taking my 9 year old daughter to this show.  We have good seats (5th row, I think).  Just concerned with her ability to see if all are standing.  Would bring ear protection.  There is also the issue of attention span for a kid.

Thoughts??

Thanks, Rick

Hello Roa71 - I will be there with my 9 year old daughter as well. We traveled to see this show on the first leg of the tour and she loved it, however she loved the album already and knew the story and almost all the words beforehand. We are on the left side, third row, and my daughter loves other kids - she might beg me to let her go meet your kid :) . We didn't see any other kids when we saw the Astonishing the first time. And everyone remains seated until the last couple of songs at the shows on this tour that I know of, so there should be no problem there. Hope you both have a great time!

Hey Roa71 and BigSwifty, I'll be handing out DT posters to those who attend the meetup, I can set some aside for you and your girls.

We are leaving in 15 minutes, so I hope we get there in time to see all of you - traffic reports on Google maps are not encouraging!

Special thanks to Luis for organizing the pre-show pizza party! I hope I can make it to Atlanta if they come back - the place looked just about full, so maybe the promoters will do their job and bring DT back south of the Mason-Dixon line again soon.
