No, I don't use last.fm I'm afraid. I might just delete all the punk rock bands from the banned list and if anyone sends anything I already know I can just request they send another song.

Fuck! I saw that Earthside were supporting them on their US tour the other day, jealous!!

How were they? I'd love to see that line up over here. I'm seeing Leprous in March supporting Devin Townsend but they will likely have a criminally short set as Tesseract are supporting too, above them.

Yea, I did think after following you both "They're going to be able to see the playlist?!" Oh well, good job I'm not doing hangman at this point. I might try it for round two though.

Also, cheers for beard appreciation, I need to let it grow longer again. It was like nipple length earlier this year

There are 2 Train-approved songs on there, one of which I've sent in a roulette before. But I think you're talking about the one I sent yeah because it sounds more like something you'd like.

Last year, my no-shave-november became no-shave-december and so on until July this year. I can't grow full beard but more than a few people said it looks cool. I probably do look better because half of my face is hidden

Yep, anything with strings will be ok. Have you heard Mob Mentality by Earthside, that is a good example. Something that has an epic kind of movie soundtrack vibe. Also, listen to one of the Distant World albums by Nobuo Uematsu, that is also the sort of thing I love. The Dear Hunter, on Acts IV & V, also have orchestral music as part of their sound.

As a last example, there are bands that have recorded live with an orchestra, that also works.

Ok, I'm only waiting on Parama, Scorpion, Tomislav95 and Elite.

No real rush as I've barely seen my girlfriend this week, because of work, and we both have today and tomorrow off work.

I'm tempted to have one listen to the songs I already have (I'm eager to get going with this) and jot down some first impressions. I have a few hours to kill later so I might give in and go for it.

In my experience with using Spotify's music sharing, it will sometimes take a couple of days after following each other before it works 100%.

Ok, so I caved and gave one listen to each of the 9 songs I have received so far. I won't listen any further until I have all the submissions in. I'll do tidbits then as well.

It's a mixed bag for sure. There are two songs that definitely stood out but songs usually take a while to grow on me anyway

All good stuff though.
