Please help my school! (Donorschoose project)
« on: September 29, 2016, 08:59:05 PM »
I'm doing a donors choose for my school. Has anyone done anything like that before? And also, moderators, is it ok if I post it here? I don't want to sound like I'm soliciting for donations or something, it's to get a classroom set of ukuleles for my school.

OK. I haven't gotten a response about this, so I'm just going to post the link to the donors choose project I'm running. If this is against board policy, I apologize. I'm trying to get a class set of ukuleles for my classroom. This would help my kids a lot and I could do so much with them.

OK my donors choose project is officially live! If you are able to help, please help! I am trying to get ukuleles for my kids. I teach in a low income area, so resources are very limited, but I want these kids to get some positive experiences in music class. My thought is, ukulele is easier than guitar (at least in my opinion), and if I can teach them some basic chords on them, they'll be able to accompany themselves and feel pride in the fact that they can play a song on their ukes.

Click here! THANK YOU SO MUCH

It's the thought that counts, but I'm sorry you are unemployed. Been there myself.

To everyone else who is able, please help if you are able.

Shoot! I forgot to say if you use the code "LIFTOFF" when you donate your donation will be matched up to $50. I thought I mentioned that because I'm posting it on FB and emailing it to family members who do not have FB. Boo.

Anyways, if you are able to help out my students and I really appreciate it.

Bump. The code "LIFTOFF" is only good for another day or so. Even if you can only donate $5 using that code will make it $10. Each uke is about $30, so if you donate $15 you can get my class another uke. That's all I ask of able. And it's a tax write off. Thanks.

Please help if you can. The matching promotion has ended, but I only need about  $400 more to get these ukuleles for the kids. So if you are willing, that would be amazing.
