The Opeth Survivors
« on: August 31, 2016, 10:33:50 PM »
Welcome to the Opeth Survivors!
I fell into depression ever since she passed and Opeth has been there for me. This majestic band needs all the attention they can get. Opeth helped me through tough times and I was able to express my anger and sorrow through them. I owe them my life. They're the ones to keep me sane.

I'm down. I think by the time you have reached Pale Communion, Sorceress will probably be out as well, so you should maybe include that one in the survivor, while you're at it?

Just one song from each album in the Finals? That's harsh

I agree. It'll be absurd to have only 1 song from albums like Blackwater Park and Ghost Reveries automatically go through to the finals. I'd like to suggest this be done like the Metallica survivors, with the top 2 songs going through to the finals, and the 3rd place (even 3rd and 4th places) going to the consolation round.

Good change, thank you for it. It would have been crazy to have the 3rd place song from albums like Still Life, BWP, Deliverance and Ghost Reveries not even make it to consolations.

I would just do the third place in consolation. Not fourth as well.

Is there such thing as a "Best of the Worst" round where we do it on the worst songs and see what song's the best?

I like the idea. Put all the last place songs into their own 'best of the worst' survivor at the end.

Though the only problem is that the majority will be instrumentals or short 1 minute songs.  :lol

Ignore the short songs and put the ones that were eliminated after them. I think let the long instrumentals (like Goblin or Ending Credits) stay. I'm biased because Ending Credits is awesome, but hey, you get the idea.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

^^ Are you not jumping the gun a little bit by putting By The Pain I See In Others in 5th place of the Deliverance list, even though the poll hasn't ended yet (and, currently, it seems it's not even going to lose!)
