And he comes out to tell them they did a good job (which they did). Very cool:

Kinda rude if you think about it.

Poor guy, hope people don't come out in droves to do that now.
Listen! Do you smell something?

I was just thinking about this. How many aspiring musicians are now gonna go play Star Wars and Jurassic Park just to get the chance to meet the man?

Also, I always imagined John Williams living on a property in a hilly area overlooking a giant lake and mountains!

Pretty much my first thought. I mean he seemed to be cool about it but on the other hand what choice does he have, not go out and greet, sure but then people might think he's rude. He knows that if he's grumpy about it it's all on video. Atleast they had the decency to not film him when they talked to him.

I saw "kids" and thought "awww"...those aren't kids. Fuckin' annoying. Main point should be that Williams was super awesome about it. The teens can fuck right off.  :lol Seriously, nothing but weirdness and annoying shit about this. I mean...honestly, how many times do you think that guy has played and heard that music?

Also dollars to doughnuts this starts a thing.

This has a mixture of wanting to do something rather innocent to show appreciation to someone you admire while also being incredibly awkward.

This has inspired me to set up some drums and do a drum solo outside Mike Mangini's house to see what he says. Video coming soon!
I don't want MP playing with DT unless they were making a drummer change. If they let MM go and bring back MP, then fine, but no guest appearance please.

Make sure it's a Mike Portnoy drum solo.

Better yet, play a Mangini solo outside of Portnoy's house.

I'd like that.  That pretty much sets us up for 15 more pages of posts to make here.   :lol  :corn

As for the Star Wars theme, yeah, it sounds nothing more but an innocent act to show respect and appreciation for the guy.  This does remind me of the whole people wanting to walk on Abbey Road like the way the Beatles did on the album cover. Though, probably to most people that needs to get through that area in their daily commute, it probably does get annoying to see people walk on that crosswalk in that particular fashion every day.

I wanted to show respect and appreciation to some of my favorites from my late teens/early twenties, but the police wasn't too fond of it. Probably wrong house. Does anyone know where Jenna Jameson lives?
Must've been Kwyji sending all the wrong songs.   ;D
