mikeyd23 is correct, it was to hide the fact that they were doing DSOTM.

Interesting. I was only aware of JL assisting on keys during the intro of Octavarium. Never watch the DSotM video all the way thru. What other songs did JL play on (whether from DSotM or DT songs)?
