Also, relistened your EP, Parama. Quite better than I remembered, actually. I'll add The Ocean - Pelagial to my list (maybe this band will click this time), and after a few more spins, I'll decide if doing the same with the Lesoir record.
precambrian was probably not a good place to start because i'd describe the first disc as "what the ocean sounded like before precambrian" and the second disc as "what the ocean sounded like after precambrian" and the second disc is absolutely superior in every way

and pelagial is boss

the rest of that lesoir record isn't nearly as interesting imo but there's some good songs

I used to play the piano, but got frustrated because my inability to keep up with tempo prevented me from getting into more complex pieces. I intend to go back to it someday tho.

Maybe you're better at fighting procrastination than I am, but if not, I bet you will have the exact same thoughts in five years from now on. :lol

Well, my obsessions come and go, and I'm sure I'll heavily get back into piano sometime after I graduate. Or maybe it will happen as you say  :lol

Think I've seen you mention somewhere on here you are in a relationship?

How does your obsession with music affect your relationship with your partner?
Yup, and tbh it's pretty cool, since she's quite obsessed with music as well. Not with the same bands mostly but we have quite some things in common like Pink Floyd, trip-hop, stoner rock/metal, same DT favorite albums, a few electronic records, Steven Wilson, etc. Sometimes it's funny how she bashes me for liking Lorde or Spiritualized  :lol

At least we both think Shoegaze, Black Metal, and Blackgaze suck  :D

If you could move to any part of the world, would you? If yes, where'd you like to live?
Either south of England or Trento, Italy. Gorgeous places.

It's always nice to discover newfound love in records/bands I used to dislike so thanks  :tup

Computer Engineering rn, but will start another one next year that's kinda similar, but with more focus on software rather than hardware.

Fellow computer engineer here! My curriculum had more focus on hardware than software. Thinking back I wish I went with more of a software focused degree.

I loove Exit Music, but I hate The National Anthem! :lol But I guess I've seen a lot more praise for OKC than Kid A anyways so I'll check out that one.

Results are up btw

Hey gang! I just woke up so I guess I'll tell you guys a bit about myself. 29 years old, currently live in Florida while I'm waiting for my house to be finished in Charlotte. I'm pretty boring, hobbies include video games, my motorcycle, guitar and long walks on the beach.

3 video games you think every gamer should finish/play?

- BioShock Infinite as a FPS. It's easy to get into, still looks great and is simply fun to play with an intriguing story.
- Braid, my favorite platformer. It's a tough game but the sound track, visuals, and story make it one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had
- Tribes 2, this is cheating as this game is old and pretty much dead but some of my best multiplayer memories come from this game. It was one of the few games that really did a great job promoting team combat with tons of variety to play styles. It's a shame none of the later Tribes games ever captured the magic (at least for me)

What's ReaperKK? What's the meaning?

How'd you get into DT and end up here?

Nothing much TAC! I'm just taking a break from studying and listening to some music at the moment. As for ReaperKK it's a very old nick name and since I'm not the creative type I never came up with anything new. Back in the AOL 2.5 days I was playing netmech on zone.com (I was in 3rd grade at the time) and I needed a name. Well Grim Reaper was taken, Reaper was taken so I just added my initials to it. Boring, I know :lol

As far as DT I was big into Metallica and Tool when I was 15. I was working at McDonalds with a buddy of mine who told me to check out this video called "YTSE JAM" on Kazaa for some awesome drumming so I did. I never really followed up on that but I remember being bored so I wanted to hear some music. SDOIT just came out so I downloaded it and The Glass Prison just melted my face, it was unlike anything else I have ever heard so naturally the first thing I did after listening to TFP over and over was see if there was a forum, and there was which is how I landed on the DTF forums.

How was your McDonald's work experience? Did you just do it short term, or was it a thing? I worked for McDonalds in high school and college and it was a great time.

I actually have a similar DT discovery story.

It was a short term thing. It was my first job ever at 15 years old and I loved it. I worked there for about 9 months with a lot of friends from high school. I would make killer sandwiches all the time for myself and gained a bit of weight :lol It wasn't a bad job at all from what I can remember.

How'd you discover DT?

Yeah, if I were smart, I'd save it on a document and cut/paste every time a new "How did you discover DT" thread appears every couple of years.
Not that it's this great story or anything.

Anyway, RKK, how did you go from Lithuania to Florida?

Not really my choice but as far as I know the story goes that my mom and dad where looking to escape the Soviet Union at the time and applied for the residency in other countries. They were denied everywhere except South Africa and the USA hadn't responded yet. We were getting ready to go to South Africa when last minute the USA said we'd be able to get a green card there so that's where we went. We flew into New York, lived there for around 6 months and then moved to Wisconsin. We took a vacation to Florida and moved there the following year.

I have a younger brother who is 22, and a half sister who is 8.

I was 4 when we left Lithuania, and 6 when we finally moved to Florida.

Wisconsin :lol all I remember of the place is that it had the worst roads and there was a shit load of snow. I think the reason they chose to move there was because the city we lived in wasn't too far from Chicago where there was a large Lithuanian community.
