I have in fact come home from a super horrible and crazy day and plopped on the couch and said "Ugh, I am just SPLENT!".  Sometimes that happens after a tough round in the P/R forum.  :)

Ooooh.  I would say the Beatles, but I have no interest in 30 minutes of screeching girls.

I wish I saw Freddie Mercury.
I wish I saw the mighty Led Zeppelin back in the day.
I wish I saw the original The Wall shows.
I wish I saw Marillion with Fish.
I wish I saw the might Ritchie Blackmore with either Deep Purple or Rainbow.

What is your favorite romantic comedy?

The one where Sandra Bullock is the evil boss, but she Canadian, and says that she's married to Ryan Reynolds, her aide, so she can stay in the states.   Hilarity ensues.

Either that, or Better Off Dead.

Hotter Than Hell
Creatures of the Night
Rock and Roll Over

(If this is different than the discography I did about six months ago, ooops!)

Gene is my favorite, kind of by a long shot.  After the debacle of the extended reunion, I'm really sour on Peter.  I think Ace is good, but he's a nutjob and probably his own worst enemy.  Paul is the heart of the band (and I still like his solo stuff best) but I just think Gene is a rock star in every sense of the word, and after seeing him deliver time and time and time again, I think he's very underrated.

Songs?  Eessh.  Which is my favorite ball.    Here goes:
Deuce
Shout It Out Loud

King never answered these:
King you are the ruler of the world. 5 changes you would make to the world? Go!

A genie gives you 5 wishes. What would it be? And a caveat: cant wish for any wish that would increase your wish count.

You are the owner of DTF.org and finance isn't a problem. What do you do??

If you are a mod and all the mods besides you ban themselves and they cant come to this site ever again and you can only save 2 mods, who'd you unban?

Why am I asking you so many questions? Are you getting annoyed?

Do you like my glasses?

Why'd you become a lawyer?

I was an engineer working as a project manager for a company that did environmental remediation (cleanups).  It was the time of RCRA and Superfund (government programs dictating the cleanup of contaminated properties) and ALL my clients were lawyers, because at that time no one cleaned ANYTHING without the government telling them to, and only to the bare minimum that the government said.   So every project was handled by a lawyer to determine what had to happen and what was "nice to have".

I went, and I fell in love with contracts and business, and slowly moved away from the pure environmental, and got into transactions.  I've been following that muse ever since.   It may or may not be obvious, but I love being a lawyer.

Not running a Survivor, a Roulette or a Top whatever list, I could have another go. Then again, other people might want to as well.

Eeeesh.  Hard questions.
1.  It changes, but either What's the Story... or Be Here Now.  I really like Standing on the Shoulders of Giants, too.  Gun to head:  What's the Story.

2. Champagne Supernova (there are a lot of seconds, though:  Talk Tonight; Round Are Way; Magic Pie; Heroes; Who Feels Love?).. If Noel counts, then "A Simple Game of Genius", hands down.

3.  We've talked about this; in Oasis I'll give you Alan White, but I have to go with Zak Starkey

4.  NGHFB

5.  The Gibson (is it a 338?) with the Union Jack on it.  Cheesy, I know.  If not he has the same model one that is wine red that is BEAUTIFUL.

Let me just say that Oasis is one of my favorite bands ever, and I am consistently amazed by Noel's songwriting.  I think they are the premier of the post-Beatles bands (ELO, Cheap Trick, a thousand others).

I'm using this thread to milk some free legal advice!

My girlfriend refuses to lock her car doors. She says she forgets to, I say bullshit. She also doesn't believe in taking valuables out of her car and has a very "live and let live" (whatever that means) attitude. But that's neither here nor there. Anyway, three times in the last two months now, someone has gone through her car. This most recent time, they took her clutch (not the car's clutch, but that female wallet thing). They took a few hundred in cash, and our neighbor down the road found all her credit cards and IDs thrown about. So whoever broke in took it out, inspected it down the road, took the cash, and then literally chucked the rest.

Is there anything illegal about me purposefully leaving a wallet with like $5 on the dashboard of her car and leaving the door unlocked with the intention of video recording a theft in the act?

If you could have me cook any meal for you, what would it be?

I enjoy a good steak, but I love meals with bold flavor that have a process for eating, if that makes sense.  When I was in New Orleans at K-Paul's (Paul Prudhomme's restaurant) I got a steak with a sauce of andoulie sausage and oysters, and there was a "proper" way of eating it, to make sure that all the flavors were in one bite, and at the proper spot on the tongue.  One of the best dishes I've ever had.

I'm also a HUGE fan of asking the chef to prepare something they think is special.  I don't mean "off menu", but rather, "if you came in, and saw this menu, knowing what you know, what would you order?"     Either that or "surprise me with either this or this".   The vast majority of servers are cool with that; some pull a 'tude, but their tips reflect that (I'm not kidding).  My local bar before I got remarried and moved, whenever I would go in and the owner's sister was behind the bar, she would ask "anything special tonight?" and if I said no, she would go in back and order for me and bring something out.   I know, I know, I read Anthony Bourdain's book, so I know there is risk in that, but I figure if a) they want a tip or b) they want me to come back, or c) they have even a modicum of professional pride, I'm not going to get dishwater.

I'm not a criminal lawyer, so this is not official legal advise, and you are encouraged to consult your own attorney, and I'm not responsible for any consequences of that plan.  With that, I don't think it's specifically "illegal".   Check your PM. :)

Damn, man, I was insanely impressed when I thought they stole her clutch. Like, to the point of admiration.

Also, even if you get good, clear video the cops probably won't bother with it. I argued with Calvin about this a while back, and turns out he was right. Property crimes are the very bottom rung of the ladder for them. There's no money to be made and no good publicity to be had. Poor use of resources from their perspective. Probably the best thing you can do is call Johnny and ask him to patrol your neighborhood for a few weeks. Maybe you'll get lucky and they'll shoot him.

And myself, I'm a firm believer in not locking car doors. It works for me because I'm also a firm believer in not leaving valuable shit in my car. Every once in a while somebody's rummaged through it over night, but the most they've ever gotten was a $2 LED flashlight. They don't seem to like my taste in CDs so that's a plus.
Argument, the presentation of reasonable views, never makes headway against conviction, and conviction takes no part in argument because it knows.
