Results will probably be tomorrow already because I have the day off today and I already have a good grasp of most of it, and I'll post tidbits in a few hours. They're probably not going to be exact quotes out of the writeups, but rather some thoughts on various songs, not all 12 will be included though.

I recognised the band name, I must admit that I had to look up the song title.

Hahah wtf, I never woulda thought. Then again, the music video does have like 600.000 views which shocked me because for a doom/black metal band that seems incredibly popular.

So that leaves only Elites song and the song titles of Artidir and Afro Celt Sound System

Woods are mine, obviously. They have pretty big underground following, I think. Unfortunately, they become more famous after frontman's death and disband.

Everything except for the Arstidir song title has been guessed, how the Alarion song got guessed is beyond me but I'll leave it at this, there's gotta be some people that know Arstidir well enough to guess the song at this point right?

Anyway, teedbeets :corn :

You really missed the bar with those vocals I’m afraid

I love reading books with this kind of music playing in the background. So yeah, this does the job

This chorus has been stuck in my head for every moment of my life for the past two days

I thought for some reason that this was a technical progressive metal band, where the hell did I get that from? This sounds nothing like that

19 minutes omg 0/10 :corn

That final climax really caught me by surprise but it’s very good

This is exactly what I thought this band would sound like, which is probably why I didn’t look into it because it’s not really my cup of tea

Are you trying to make me cry or something? This solo is beautiful

Scoring in this roulette is going to be by .25 increments like mentioned in the OP, I've been way more comfortable with the scores this way and I think I can settle a bit easier on certain scores without feeling like I have to correct myself later, so I'm not going to do any of the correction stuff either.

I don't know if I mentioned the next part, but achieving a 9, let alone 10, is way harder this time around. I have one song currently sitting comfortably at 8.5-8.75, I'm not sure yet which of these, and it's an absolutely fantastic song, so it'll be tough to beat I bet.

How many times did you listened to songs? And when can we expect the results?

How many times did you listened to songs? And when can we expect the results?

I'm not doing it too strictly, I want to have listened to every song 4-5 times minimum and I've currently listened to everything at least three times.

I think it's safe to assume results will be up tomorrow, if not you can expect them Thursday afternoon but I think I'll manage Wednesday evening.

I'll be leaving the country for a week a little over a month from now (20th-27th of June) so there's going to be a slight change of pace in the roulette at that point, I think with the pace I'm aiming for that means we're at around round 6 or so. I'll schedule it so that results for whatever round it is will be up before I leave and want to have all the songs when I'm back home 1 week later at the latest. But I'll elaborate on this when the time comes aswell.

The 5th one is not yours, does that lower the pressure?

So how popular were each of the categories we got to choose from? I'm just curious to see which ones were most popular and if some of them were chosen by only a few or not at all.

That's a great question, actually was planning to reveal it but I forgot to do so.

First it seemed very balanced but in the end some got picked way more than others:

Electronic: 4
Atmospheric: 5
Traditional rock/metal (the classics) + modern rock: 3
Djent: 1
Prog in general: 6
Growls: 4
Doom/Black: 1

Poor djent and doom/black

I'll be home from work at around 8:30 PM my time (which is a little over 10 hours from now), maybe a bit earlier but I don't know yet. I will have writeups done by then since I'm writing them now, and then I'll kinda 'polish' them when I get home.

So if it turns out no one guessed their place in the round right, I suggest we ruin that bonus topics system.

I'm willing to trade my traditional rock/metal and atmospheric information for some other topics.
