I'll be following this, but I'm glad enough people signed up. I don't think it's a good idea to play in a roulette over the summer holidays, where I'm away from home and computer for quite long :P

I'm curious to see whether some people are cocky enough to go for it :corn

Great to see so much variety in the topics, a few got requested a bit more than others but overall it's very balanced, and everything has been chosen at least once.

Only takers left for the topics now are 425 and splent!

I'm guessing my song will be #2. Sending for one of the bonus themes as well. Glad Tyrias isn't in.
Is this definitive? I meant for people to guess it through PM along with their submissions but if you can confirm your guess is final I'll take it.

Obviously not, I'll send you my guess in PM. I may post random number guesses in this thread just for fun.

Edit: and sent. Also, Tyrias, check your PMs.

I'm tempted to start with the cover song bonus point. May be a bit risky though as covers can be a gamble. I've got a great song/artist though. I'll think it over for like another 2 minutes at least  :lol

Yeah that's fine, I didn't even expect to have 10 participants in at this time let alone all 12. I planned for the songs to be in about 3-4 days from now at latest so results would be up next Friday, but I have to see how much listening I can get in between work and all the time I will spend outside with this amazing weather.

Covers is an interesting one, I didn't know whether to put it on there or not but I figured it could be a pretty fun one.

I'll use this post to anounce that I'll be brutally copying splent's hangman after I get all the submissions, same rules and procedures. So the first guessed letter will count and that person will have to wait 3 turns before guessing again.

I mean, how about "the person who guessed most songs on hangman gets an immunity from the elimination after Round 7" type of reward?

I've sent a pretty epic song without drums and electric guitars.

I've handed out all the topics, if I somehow messed up and missed someone let me know and I'll re-send.

I've received 5 songs and everyone who has sent has given me their prediction for their overall song ranking for the first bonus round too, should be interesting to see how far people will be off. I will also reveal every number that has been guessed when the 12th submission is in, but the players who guessed these remain anonymous.

Sent some post rock, I forgot to mention in PM, it's instrumental (for the theme). Probably speaks for itself anyway  :P

Yeah I would've noticed that it was instrumental eventually anyways, but it's always good to mention so that I get reminded to actually award the bonus point, I might forget that otherwise. So thanks

I have half the songs in already, planning to start listening on Tuesday, maybe earlier if I've received the songs before Tuesday but it depends because Euro '16 and work is probably more important than listening to your songs. But yeah, try to have your song submitted by Tuesday at the latest. And predict the # your song will rank amongst the other round 1 songs along with your submission to enter the first bonus round.

I kinda liked Russia's chances in this group before finding out Dzagoev, who is probably their key player, is left out because of an injury. Don't know much about their team though.

I know England are known to fail in spectacular fassion quite often and they were pretty terrible recently too, Vardy is on the bench and that's like my #1 player to watch but I guess he will come in later. I think Russia still have a good chance to go through because Wales and Slowakia are both kind of mediocre from what I've seen, might just be the first game pressure though.

I managed to swap shifts with a collegue so I can stay at home during the first Spain game on Monday :corn

I dunno, I liked Wales in their first game. I'm actually rooting for them to get through.

England usually fails in the international tournaments, true, but maybe they'll make it work in this one. I think they've got a spectacular lineup this time. I don't really care about Vardy, but I'm really glad to see Lallana and Kane playing.

That said, I don't really care about Russian team. I know all players from England team that are playing right now, and I have no idea who the hell half of Russian players are - Dzagoev is pretty skilled though, yep. So I guess I'm rooting for England and Wales to be 1st and 2nd in the group and then let Russia qualify from 3rd place.

Yeah maybe I overstated it a bit, Wales weren't that bad, I just think they're overrated, but admittedly I might've overrated Slovakia as I predicted them to end up 2nd in the group.

I'm just looking forward to group D, Turkey Croatia and Spain are all some of my favorites and I honestly think they can all easily make the top 2 and maybe even #1.

What's this thread about again?

Naught but a perception

I slowly stopped caring about the Czechs after the Nedved/Koller/Baros era, I've kinda always been an Arsenal fan but not a huge one, just my favorite english team. So I'll admit to hoping Rosicky and Cech can put up a nice show.
