I would say "metal crowd" includes people who are fond of classic old-school metal in any genre. Heavy, progressive, power, all that. New FW will appeal to them I think.

Yes, a fogey is a way of describing someone who is old. You're kind of spot on. I'd also add that in terms of a DTF Fogey, I'd say that it is also someone who won't venture too far out of their comfort zone, disparages djent and anything with a strange sounding genre title etc (that's just my interpretation of a DTF Fogey though)

Something like it. Fogey music, old-school music or "grandpa" music

I love some of it but can't listen to everything (old school heavy/power metal).

Yeah the fogeys are the older people of DTF, usually sighted by their apprehensiveness of growls in their music too though there's a few cool ones that dig 'em. I didn't know what it meant before I joined this forum either.

Got one listen in of the songs I already have since I will be a little shorter on time this weekend and had some time this morning. Won't be online much for the rest of the day because I'll be at work all day, watching the Spain game right after that, and will probably head outside for the 5 years celebration of one of my most beloved bars in Amsterdam when the game's over.

First impressions are that this round is not as good as the first round, but that was a pretty high standard anyway and some might be big growers.
