Wow that was fantastic. I hadn't heard that performance before.
And you say he's still not in your top ten?
Yeah.  He's great, but the ten I've posted are just sorta godlike.  Its kinda the same reason Geddy Lee isn't in my top 10.  Claudio is a lot closer than Geddy is though.

Eh?  In his heyday, Tate was absolutely stellar, and would be a worthy addition to anyone's top 10 list.  And nothing wrong with JLB, either.  Neither are in my top 10, but both are great when looking at their whole body of works.

Cristina is very underrated. She has a great rock voice, just a mediocre band and a less than mediocre male co-singer.

While I do think Brent Smith has a good voice, he really can't reproduce his material live, as far as I can tell.

This. I actually started listening to Lacuna Coil entirely because of the remake of A Tout le Monde that Cristina Scabbia did with Megadeth in 2007, I absolutely love the way her voice and Dave Mustaine's sounded together.

In only very approximate order (because I'm not sure I'd be able to rank them exactly if I tried, they're all just so damn good):

Daniel Gildenlow (Pain of Salvation, ex-Flower Kings)
Freddy Mercury (Queen)
Floor Jansen (After Forever, ReVamp, regular on Arjen Lucassen's projects)
Jorn Lande (solo, Masterplan, Ark, millions of other things)
Regina Spektor (solo)
Devin Townsend (various solo projects, Strapping Young Lad)
Dan Swano (Nightingale, and about a million other bands)
Tomi Joutsen (Amorphis)
Christina Aguilera (solo)
Roy Khan (Kamelot)

There are plenty of amazing singers outside this top 10 of course.

Ariich is a freak, or somehow has more hours in the day than everyone else.
I be am boner inducing.

Mark Knopfler's voice suits Dire Straits but he definitely isn't a singer  ;D. Although he has gotten better more recently.

On songs like Sultans OF Swing he's sort of talk-singing.

Paul Buchanan
Phil Collins
Peter Gabriel
Nick D’Virgilio
Ted Leonard

Mark Hollis is the other guy I wanted to get on there somehow.
