No Prayer for the Dying is the second album to be eliminated, narrowly beating out Fear of the Dark

____________

Well, that was their second worst album, but IMO the votes missed the mark for the second time. Hopefully third time is a charm so we can be rid of

Fear of the Dark

Not THAT much but, yes. Probably place it somewhere at the middle of my Maiden albums ranking.

But, no hurry to get happy. if i wasn't trying to protect The X Factor, i would have voted for The Final Frontier  :rollin

Killers.

Indeed, not that I dislike it or anything but it's inferior to the debut album and also there's no Bruce. (One could say that Fear of the Dark rarely has the Bruce we all know and love however...)
I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

I know it's not a fan favorite, but I've been under the impression that it's been gaining appreciation over the last several years. It should at least be in the top 10...

I get why people don't like it: Blaze's voice isn't for everyone, and it's the misfit among Maiden albums—it's easily the most un-Maiden-ish Maiden album. But I think if you look at its level of quality as an album free from any expectations of what an Iron Maiden album should be, it's hard not to see it as a quality record.

I'm really curious to see what happens after Fear and X Factor are gone because the modern era seems to be very much liked here in DTF. If they don't vote for that, it only rests the classic era stuff.

It's quality without Bruce, just dark.  Also a pretty big foundation for the type of music IM created during the Reunion era, The X-Factor isn't so different musically than a lot of what we've seen on the last few albums.

Killers, then Final Frontier, then Dance of Death and then I'm fucked. If all those were gone I'd probably vote TNotB

Those would be the mediocre songs judging by the general opinion of IM's fans, or only your opinion?..

As you can imagine, I'm not aware of the average view of the fan base.. Haven't been nor even read any IM forum.. :|
