Charmed was too cheesy for me. Even Buffy the Vampire Slayer in all its cheese, wasn't as cheesy as Charmed.

Speaking of Buffy, that's another show I loved (aside from Season 6) growing up, and it still holds up as well.

Another show I never watched till recently, but think it's really good. Again, that was part of the style at the time, and Buffy was pretty self aware about the campiness.

Damn it was great to be a kid of the 90's

Stop trying to steal my childhood bro! :metal

Does anybody remember High Mountain Rangers, starring Robert Conrad and his sons. I was all about that show. Me and my brother would play High Mountain Rangers around the neighborhood, I was Matt and he was Cody. He actually adopted that as his name and was called that all the way through school. :rollin

As a young lad I always found Three's Company oddly compelling.

Actual favorite shows would have been Soap and Star Trek. To a lesser extent, Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers, and WKRP. Cartoon wise it was Merry Melodies and Pink Panther or GTFO.

I loved Three's Company as a kid. The humor was simple, but entertaining. I doubt anyone else could have mastered the role of Jack like John Ritter did. It was really his show, the rest were just along for the ride.

I remember a while back you mentioned Soap here, and made me realize I had totally forgotten about it. I revisited it on Netflix and was reminded how hilarious it was. Burt Campbell is probably one of my top 5 all time favorite TV characters.

All of the people in Soap were great, but it was as an ensemble that they really killed. Any time more than 3 of them are on the screen at once it's fantastic. Burt was great, but that's largely because Richard Mulligan was such a fine (and underrated) actor. I have a hard time picking a second best character (Bob steels the show in my book), but it might be Sanders. Also the secondary characters were always fantastic. Gordon Jump as Peace of Chilief Tinkler, Howard Hessman as the two lawyers, and El Puerco with his posse were excellent additions.

Anyone remember Dino Riders?

I can't tell if I loved the show, or just loved the toys and enjoyed the show a bit.

Also Voltron. Though upon retrospect, it's essentially the same episode over and over. Bad guys send a monster, dudes fight monster with 5 lions, evil witch makes monster grow, lions make voltron and cut monster in half with sword.

Did I just describe Voltron or Power Rangers?

I think there were like 30 shows like this in Japan, but in Power Rangers, they never cut the monster in half. They hit it with the sword, sparks flew, and the monster spun around and dropped dead.

When I was little I was a huge fan of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.

Later I watched the lineup in KevShmev's early post - Cosby, Family Ties, etc. My mom and I watched Cheers together from start to finish, all those years. Loved Night Court too. I loved watching certain re-runs like All in the Family, Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley. We loved Mork & Mindy.

For awhile there was a Dungeons and Dragons cartoon and I liked that a lot, but not as much as Scooby Doo. Nothing is as awesome as Scooby Doo meeting the Globetrotters, or Don Knotts, etc.

I keep wanting to come back and add in Seinfeld but the title says "when you were little" so I am severely limited. There were only 13 channels on TV when I was a kid and channel 6 was HBO that you had to stand up and go to the TV and switch a switch on a set top box manually to receive, and 4 was just the time and temperature channel. :lol

13 channels? Oh luxury!

We had 3. I remember it was a massive deal when we got Channel 4. A guy had to come out to the house to tune in the TV to receive it..  :lol

Anyway, another couple I thought of:
  • Thundercats
  • He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

The ones that stand out to me the most are

The Simpsons
The X-Files - this was my jam in my tweens
The Animals of Farthing Wood - I don't think this ever aired in the US. Me and my brothers played the shit out of this in the early 90s. I rewatched a good chunk of it out of nostalgia recently, and holy crap, is it dark for a kid's show.

MY BABIES MY POOR BABIES

Also,
Animaniacs
Dexter's Laboratory
general Looney Tunes stuff
Doug
Land of the Lost
Friends, once I was a teen

Oh, also, Mr Bean

That joke gets made pretty often, believe it or not, on account of the fact that the show kills off a character every 2 or 3 episodes.
