That's pretty surprising.  I would have seriously thought it would be On the Backs of Angels given that the other songs in that video are pretty popular songs like Velvet Revovler's Slither, Queen of the Stone Age's No One Knows, A7X's Beast and the Harlot, etc.

OTBOA doesn't have a great riff though.

I'm glad to see TDEN make their list. Even though such lists are of no actual importance, at least it's a little bit of exposure. And it is a hell of a riff. :metal

Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

IMO, the best DT riff of the 2000s is the main one from The Root of All Evil. :metal

Sure it does. The syncopated main riff is cool as hell, as are all the variations on it.

Meh, too busy and unmemorable for me. I wouldn't even rank it as one of DT's top 10 riffs of the 2000s.

Seven Nation Army has to be the most overrated riff like... ever. The rest of the list is pretty damn good though.

Though they did not even get the best DT riff of the album. Both Constant Motion and ITPOE have much better riffs.

They didn't even get the best riff off that very song  let alone Systematic Chaos. But that's WatchMojo for ya, I don't think anyone takes these lists seriously anyways.

Lie also has a freakin good riff. My favorite ones are Lie, The Root of All Evil and A Rite of Passage.

Pretty good list, I'm also a big fan of A7X and Muse. I would put Assassin instead of Plug In Baby, but these lists always consider the "comercial success" side of the song.

Meh, too busy

Not really, it's a very distinctive and solid rhythm broken up with varied and interesting tails to each phrase to it just like with the Take the Time riff. Fun for me to practice on guitar.

Yeah, probably my least favourite part of the song, though I still like it.

It isn't even a good riff to begin with.

I can't honestly say I had heard any of those other songs, other than the Muse one (when I went through a very, very brief Muse phase), and the White Stripes one.

TDEN is a very skippable DT song for me, and they have very much better and memorable riffs. I would put TROAE high on my list, to echo whoever mentioned that one.

All of this & no-one mentioned how OTBOA came out in 2011.

Technically, it's in the 2000s but not the 00s.

I actually thing the TDEN riff is their best in the 2000s (I see it as the decade). Other good ones are in ITNOG and As I Am but TDEN is probably still the best.
