Quite a good impression it left on me. Although it felt kinda same-y all the way through, I could see myself getting much into it - I hope it helps me appreciate jazz more.

Jazz is one of those genres I kinda scoffed at for years, but slowly got into, and now I really like it. Especially Miles Davis and Bohren helped me get into the genre, but it was Kamasi Washington's The Epic that really got me hooked. I still have plenty to check out in the genre, and I will probably never be an expert, but I like the genre now to the extent where I can put on a jazz album and really enjoy it. Apart from Sunset Mission, their album Black Earth is really good.

Noting those artists to listen to them at some point later, thanks  :tup

I love Omadawn, but for some reason never got around his most famous work. Well, fixing that now. Also, finally checked new Aesop after my gf wanked about it for weeks - pretty good.

people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.

I love that Novembre album. Actually, I had one song on that album lined up to send in your roulette, but I'll probably not be doing that now. :P

The new Rival Sons Album "Hollow Bones". Pretty good though I don't think it's as good as their last couple of releases.

This is such a pristine album. One of the best heavy metal production jobs, and just solid songwriting all the way through. It's not as adventurous, progressive or experimental as the albums before or after, and I think it's a good thing they never tried to remake it, because I don't think this album would have worked twice. But this album absolutely captures a band at the top of their game just writing good songs and taking over the world.
And if spirit's a sign,
Then it's only a matter of time

Never heard of Morimoto Tim but Matsumoto is probably Japan's most famous guitarist.    I am surprised how much I have enjoyed what is , for the most part , a very laid back bluesy instrumental album.  Aside from the most blatant rip off of Gary Moore's Still Got The Blues melody.......couldn't believe my ears.  :-\

Yeah. The Black Album is okay, there are some really good songs but some are just I don't know... meh. But I feel that way about almost every Metallica album since I'm not that big of a fan.
I still think Polaris is the worst TesseracT album by far, but Hexes/Tourniquet/Cages are such gems. Wish they'd bring back the style of "One" though, although that will probably never happen.
